Abstract
This chapter critically examines the unique challenges and opportunities faced by family-owned startups in emerging economies, a topic that has received limited attention in existing literature. Recognizing the high failure rate of startups, particularly in family firms, this study seeks to understand the factors contributing to their success or failure. Employing a qualitative analysis, the chapter explores various economic, legal, and cultural dimensions that influence these businesses. It provides a comparative perspective, drawing insights from various emerging economies to identify patterns and differences in the experiences of family-owned startups. The chapter aims to fill the knowledge gap by offering a comprehensive view of the success and failure dynamics in family-owned startups, with a focus on strategic, managerial, and operational aspects. This approach offers valuable insights for both academics and practitioners, aiming to guide future research and practical interventions to support the sustainability and growth of family firms in these dynamic markets.

Abstract
Purpose
This study examines and estimates the relationship among identified factors or determinants for the adoption of water ionizers by customers.
Design/methodology/approach
To this end, the questionnaire is prepared to have the preferences of customers based on the factors or enablers identified for the analysis of customers' perceptions toward the adoption of water ionizers. Recipients are identified to collect their preferences for the factors responsible for the adoption. The convenience sampling method is used in administering the questionnaire for the study. The structural equation modeling (SEM) technique is used to construct the model for defining the relationship between measured and latent variables using the lavaan, haven, psych and semPlot libraries in R software.
Findings
The study reveals that product features, which include pH value, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) and micro-clustering (MC), are influenced by environmental sustainability (ES), and as a result, product features and product outcomes (brand value (BV), customer recommendation (CR) and perceived usefulness (PU)) together influence the adoption of water ionizers by customers.
Practical implications
Water ionizers have appeared as consumer electronic appliances designed to alter the pH and ORP of water through an electrolysis process. There are proven benefits to improved water quality across different pHs for its health benefits (HB) and other commercial and household uses. The study recommends that potential HB perceived through water ionizers and product features, which are supported by ES, and helps customers decide on the adoption of water ionizers.
Originality/value
The study supports comprehending the relationships between consumer behavior, sustainable practices and innovative technologies like water ionizers as society places a greater emphasis on environmentally conscious living and sustainable living. This study aims to clarify the elements affecting the adoption and perception of water ionizers from a sustainability perspective through an extensive assessment of the literature and empirical analysis.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to provide data references for deposit cleaning, fuel formulation and lubricant formulation.
Design/methodology/approach
The engine disassembly procedure was carried out based on the IO540 operation manual part number 60297-10-1-7 document. Except for the normal disassembly and assembly of the engine and the measurement of parts, the main test contents included break-in run operation, cylinder pressure test, oil consumption run, pretest calibration run, post-test calibration test and the most critical endurance test. The Lycoming IO-540-V4V5 engine and the customized Hartzell CK319 propeller were selected for the test run.
Findings
The deposits were mainly composed of C, O, B, Al, Br and Pb, which were mainly sourced from fuel, lubricating oil and body materials. XPS analysis showed that the presence of O determined the richness of the deposit components, giving the deposit structure with organic and inorganic components.
Originality/value
This work provides certain data support and reference for subsequent aircraft maintenance, fuel formula and lubricating oil formula. The long-term stability and safety of the aircraft run can be ensured through continuous research, improvement and optimizing the operating of the engine.

In this paper, the authors use Federated Learning Algorithm Based On Matrix Mapping For Data Privacy over Edge Computing.
Findings
By using Softmax layer probability distribution for model byzantine tolerance can be increased from 40% to 45% in the blocking-convergence attack, and the edge backdoor attack can be stopped.
Originality/value
By using Softmax layer probability distribution for model the results of the tests, the aggregation method can protect at least 30% of Byzantine clients.

Abstract
With the most recent change in the industrial model toward the Fourth Industrial Revolution, or Industry 4.0, the advancements in digitalization and information and communication technology (ICT) have opened up opportunities for a smart logistics revolution. A comprehensive conceptualization that directs the rapidly approaching structural shift in reverse logistics is currently lacking, despite the fact that the research has been focusing intensively on improving the intelligence, autonomy, and connection of isolated logistical operations with an emphasis on the forward channels. To address this gap, this conceptual chapter offers a thorough analysis of the technological implications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the reverse logistics process in addition to a comprehensive definition of reverse logistics 4.0.
This chapter explores the dynamic intersection of reverse logistics, closed-loop systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies within the supply chains of the United Arab Emirates. By explicating the critical role of Industry 4.0, in the promotion of sustainability, the goal of this chapter is to facilitate UAE supply chain participants to adopt creative approaches to sustainable resource management. This study also contributes to the wider global discussion on sustainable supply chain management techniques, opening avenues for an ecologically friendly and resource-conscious industrial environment in the United Arab Emirates.

Abstract
Food security emerges when all people always have physical and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. The availability of food, access to food, and absorption of food are three key aspects of food security. Considering the above, the initial goal in this chapter is to measure annual growth rate and compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of production of food grains, nutri coarse cereals, total pulses, and nine oilseeds for the period 2011–2021 in India. To estimate per capita availability of Food Grains, Nutri Coarse Cereals, Total Pulses and Nine Oilseeds (in kg) represents the food security in India. The highest production is recorded in between 2011 and 2021 for food grains (315.72), followed by the production of nine oil seeds (36.7), total pulses (27.69), and nutri coarse cereals (26.42). In 2016, the annual growth rate for food grains and nine oilseeds was 9.37 and 23.88%, respectively. It is very evident that the availability per capita has grown from 2011 to 2021. The per capita availability of food grains increased from 206.17 kg in 2011 to 224.30 kg in 2021. The per capita availability of total pulses increased from 13.59 kg in 2011 to 19.67 kg in 2021. The per capita availability of nine oil seeds increased from 23.70 kg in 2011 to 26.78 kg in 2021 which indicates India has managed food security successfully in the last decade.

Agriculture is an activity that plays an important role in human life. Similarly, the agricultural sector plays an important role in the national economy. One of the biggest problems of the agricultural sector is the carbon gas it produces during production. Fertilizing activities and tools used in plowing the fields cause this gas to be produced. The release of the said gas into nature causes serious damage to the environment. Therefore, carbon emissions in the agricultural sector are of vital importance. In line with this purpose, it is aimed to determine the most appropriate strategy for carbon emission in this study. As a result of the DEMATEL analysis, it was seen that the most appropriate strategy was effective regulations and auditing.

Abstract
Purpose
Loitering aerial vehicle (LAV) swarm safety flight control is an unmanned system control problem under multiple constraints, which are derived to prevent the LAVs from suffering risks inside and outside the swarms. The computational complexity of the safety flight control problem grows as the number of LAVs and of the constraints increases. Besides some important constraints, the swarms will encounter with sudden appearing risks in a hostile environment. The purpose of this study is to design a safety flight control algorithm for LAV swarm, which can timely respond to sudden appearing risks and reduce the computational burden.
Design/methodology/approach
To address the problem, this paper proposes a distributed safety flight control algorithm that includes a trajectory planning stage using kinodynamic rapidly exploring random trees (KRRT*) and a tracking stage based on distributed model predictive control (DMPC).
Findings
The proposed algorithm reduces the computational burden of the safety flight control problem and can fast find optimal flight trajectories for the LAVs in a swarm even there are multi-constraints and sudden appearing risks.
Originality/value
The proposed algorithm did not handle the constraints synchronously, but first uses the KRRT* to handle some constraints, and then uses the DMPC to deal with the rest constraints. In addition, the proposed algorithm can effectively respond to sudden appearing risks by online re-plan the trajectories of LAVs within the swarm.

Abstract
Purpose
The unethical use of natural resources is contributing to the increasing environmental degradation. The depleting environment poses a threat to the sustainability of present and future generations. This paper aims to investigate the impact of social media on the green purchase intention of consumers. The research adopts the theory of reciprocal determinism to integrate the variables of social media, green product knowledge, green consumption values and drive for environmental responsibility, assessing their collective impact on green purchase intention.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were gathered from a sample of 310 young consumers using a structured close-ended questionnaire. The proposed hypothesis was tested by employing PLS-SEM.
Findings
The study validates that social media (SM) has the ability to shape consumers' intention to choose more eco-friendly products. In addition to social media, green consumption values and the drive for environmental responsibility exert a significant influence on green purchase intention. However, green product knowledge did not have a significant impact on green purchase intention nor did mediate the relationship between social media and green purchase intention.
Originality/value
The existing scholarly literature indicates that researchers have employed a variety of theories as the basis for their studies aimed at predicting intentions and behaviors related to environmentally conscious purchases. To our knowledge, this is the first study to incorporate social media in the theory of reciprocal determinism. Notably, the paper represents the inaugural investigation in the context of an emerging economy to incorporate green product knowledge as a mediating variable.
