Abstract
Purpose: This chapter aims to evaluate the significant impact of Gandhian values on sustainable consumption behaviour (SCB) by applying the value-attitude-behaviour (VAB) framework. This chapter contributes by incorporating Gandhian values as one influencing factor for SCB.
Need for the Study: Values are considered as guiding principles in people’s lives. Studies suggest that values and other social and psychological factors can be vital in determining consumers’ behaviour towards sustainable consumption. There needs to be more empirical research on consumer behaviour facets of sustainable consumption for markets in India.
Methodology: The study uses partial least square structural equation modelling to empirically test proposed hypotheses and the research model of the relationship. The study results are based on data collected by administering a survey through a questionnaire confined to India.
Findings: The results indicated that Gandhian values, attitude, and sustainable consumption intention significantly influence SCB. Intention acts as a mediator between both outward and inward environmental attitudes and behaviour. The study provides directions for further research.
Practical Implications: This research study is helpful for researchers, marketers, and policymakers.

Abstract
Volatility in agricultural commodity prices assumes a lot of significance since its associated uncertainty is one of the major factors affecting the income security of producers and traders. The study aims to investigate the fluctuations and instability of the two crops, paddy and wheat, in the states of India. It has estimated instability in prices over the years (2006–2023) for paddy and wheat for the top three producing states by using coefficient of variation (CV), Cuddy-Della Valle index and Coppock’s index. Then it estimates volatility by generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH) framework. It is observed that the average standard deviation of prices across mandis for paddy in a given month is 0.18 and for wheat it is 0.22. Both for paddy and wheat Punjab has the maximum instability among the three states if we consider CV and Coppock’s index. But if we consider the Cuddy-Della Valle index, Madhya Pradesh has the maximum instability for wheat. The noticed unpredictability in the price series of paddy revealed that the value of ARCH (α) has significant term and value of GARCH (β) was also significant for all the price series. The volatility (α + β) was quite persistent of the order of 0.985 in case of Uttar Pradesh. In case of wheat Punjab has the maximum value 0.95 signifying explosiveness. Abstract
Purpose
There are few studies exploring leadership competencies for public health leaders in low-middle-income countries, including India. The purpose of this study is to discern the leadership competencies the public health leaders might need by adapting the LEADS framework of leadership competencies and understanding the characteristics of the Indian public health system that influence the practice of these competencies.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors followed a sequential multiphase mixed-method design. Phase I included a concurrent literature review and in-depth interviews of senior public health leaders in western India. Phase II was an online leadership competency survey (10 statements each for knowledge, skills and behaviors) of 88 district-level public health leaders. Phase III included focus group discussions with 33 district-level public health leaders to better understand survey results.
Findings
The practice of leadership competencies was determined by health system characteristics, governance and managerial processes, health system culture and sociopolitical environment in which the health system shared an interface. In total, 20 out of 30 competencies were categorized under the first two LEADS domains of “Leading self” and “Engaging others.” “Achieving results” was affected by the centralized nature of health programs’ planning and monitoring. The health systems context provided limited scope to practice competencies under the “Developing coalitions” and “Systems transformation” domains.
Practical implications
Findings from this study can help address gaps in leadership competencies and tailor leadership development programs.
Originality/value
Past research on leadership competencies in India has used Western frameworks without adaptation. Through this study, the authors tried to conceptualize and contextualize competencies for Indian public health leaders adapting the LEADS framework.

In the framework of Industry 4.0, the study seeks to clarify the intricate connection between modern digitalization and sustainability and the ways in which these developing technologies support sustainable practices in the societal, environmental and economic spheres. Utilizing a conceptual framework, this study integrates insights from existing literature and provides a structured investigation to explore the impact of Industry 4.0 technologies, including smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, the internet of things (IoT) and blockchain, on sustainability. The research reveals that the integration of environmental, social, economic and human aspects of sustainability. The study emphasizes how these elements support Industry 4.0 by encouraging moral and sustainable business practices. The insights derived from this research offer practical implications for policymakers, industry leaders and researchers. By understanding the symbiotic relationship between digitalization and sustainability, stakeholders can formulate strategies that leverage new-age technologies to achieve optimal efficiency while ensuring ethical and sustainable business practices. The originality lies in the holistic approach to understanding the environmental, social and economic dimensions impacted by new-age digitalization offering a comprehensive examination of the interplay between Industry 4.0 and sustainability.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of the study was to examine the factors affecting eating behavior of adolescents aged 17–19 years, residing in a college hostel and to assess the effectiveness of nutrition education in improving their knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP).
Design/methodology/approach
A convenient sampling technique was used to recruit 200 adolescent female participants of age 17–19 years. The obesity and underweight status of the participants were assessed using body mass index (BMI). Diet history was obtained using a 24-h dietary recall and food frequency questionnaire. A standard pretested questionnaire was used to analyze the factors affecting the eating behavior of adolescents. A nutrition education program was conducted to improve the KAP of the adolescents. A structured questionnaire was used to assess the improvement in KAP after the education program. Descriptive statistics was used to examine the factors affecting eating behavior. Paired t-test was used to check the effectiveness of the nutrition education program.
Findings
The findings of the study indicated that 50.5% of the adolescents were underweight (20%), overweight (12%) and obese (18.5%). The mean nutritional adequacy of the adolescents was 68.1%. Social factor had the highest impact on the eating behavior of adolescents (70.8%), followed by the environmental factor (69.7%). Imparting nutrition education was significant in improving the KAP of adolescents with a p-value < 0.05. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the factors affecting the eating behavior of adolescents and establish corrective measures such as community education intervention programs and awareness programs on healthy eating habits to modify the eating behavior of adolescents.
Research limitations/implications
The dietary intake and the factors influencing eating behavior of the adolescents were assessed considering the transition in the intrapersonal, social and community food environment. The inadquate food intake affected the nutritional status of 50% of the adolescents.The taste, temptation, sight of the food, peer pressure, parental influence and unmindful eating practices majorly influenced the eating behavior of adolescents. Unhealthful eating behavior can increase the risk of chronic diseases during the adolescence and may extend in to adulthood. Hence it is necessary to bring a positive change in the eating behavior of the adolescents through a well planned comprehensive nutrition education program. The findings of the study proved that the knowledge, attitude and behavior of the adolescents could be significantly improved through a well planned nutrition eduation program. Further the study also provide insights to plan and implement community food policies targeted to improve the eating behavior and health status of the adolescents. One of the limitations of the study was, in addition to anthropometric measurements and diet history including biochemical parameters would be a better indicator of nutritional status. The cultural and religious influence on eating behavior would also be studied. In future a study on gender differences on the dietary intake and eating behavior of the adolescents can be conducted.
Practical implications
The study reflects the eating behavior of late adolescents and major factors affecting eating behavior of adolescents residing in college hostel. The findings will add on to the existing knowledge on the factors affecting eating behavior of adolescents. As eating behavior is correlated to the health status of the adolescents understanding the factors affecting eating behavior would help in modifying the eating behavior of late adolescents by implementing appropriate measures and help develop programs and policies that aid in improving the nutritional status. Since nutrition education is effective in improving the KAP of adolescents’ nutrition literacy is imperative in schools and colleges to improve the eating behavior and health status of the adolescents.
Social implications
The research provides a scientific basis for understanding the factors affecting eating behavior of adolescents and the interaction between personal, social and environmental factors. It also acts as basis to be aware of one’s own eating behavior, modify and model healthy eating behavior. Inappropriate eating behavior in late adolescents can continue into adulthood affecting nutritional status and leading to an increase in the prevalence of diseases and disorders in adulthood. This can affect human potential and capital and thereby economic development. Hence, it is imperative to improve the nutritional status of the adolescents by creating awareness and implementing corrective measures to modify unhealthy eating behavior. The research also supports devising policy and programs regarding the nutritional behavior of adolescents.
Originality/value
Eating behavior is a complex interplay of various factors at multiple levels. The adolescents’ eating behavior correlates directly with their nutritional status. In total, 50.5% of adolescents were malnourished. The nutrient intake of the majority of the adolescents was less than the recommended intake. The mean nutrient adequacy was 68.1%. The quality of the diet was largely affected as they did not include 5–7 food groups in a day. The social factors such as peer group influence and parental influence had the predominant impact on eating behavior followed by environmental factors. The nutrition education program helped improve the nutrition KAP. Hence, it is necessary to create awareness and make policies and programs that can improve the eating behavior of adolescents.

Purpose
The young population of the globe is defined by individuals aged 15 to 24 years. Based on statistics from the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), the second largest women population among 15 years as well as 19 years was in 2017 only behind 35 and 39 years. At this time, the Brazilian male population was higher. The difficulties of the young generation affected the preceding generation and promoted social dynamism. The worldwide data shows that the generation of young and the digital world have been constantly sought, but in reality, approximately one-third of the population in 2017 had no access to the internet.
Design/methodology/approach
The worldwide movement around topics such as strategy on its threefold basis and Industry 4.0 enable a link to company duty towards society to be established. This present study was produced from 1 March 2020 to 2 September 2020 via resources of human and literature evaluation relating to the idea of strategic, Industry 4.0, the responsibility of society and the creation of youth. Its motive is the global creation of youth. Two recommendations should be made after studying the literature and information gathering that enabled “analyzing social responsibility of the company and industry 4.0 with a pivot on young creation: a strategic framework for resources of human management”.

The adoption of defensible practices and technology bring forth by the revolution in industrial is emphasized worldwide.
Originality/value
The focus on the usage of these ideas is essential, so that young people can absorb the workforce in the labour market. To achieve this, the CSR idea combines this theoretical triple-created recent study.

Purpose
Experiential learning is crucial in education, as it offers hands-on, practical experiences that enable individuals to develop their skills and knowledge more engagingly and interactively. In recent years, experiential learning has become a significant aspect of education. To provide academic scholars with a thorough roadmap for further investigation, this study aims to provide useful insights into the bibliometric and content analysis of experiential learning, including keywords, well-known authors, publications, nations and topics.
Design/methodology/approach
This research does a rigorous bibliometric analysis to give a thorough and visually instructional assessment of the evolution and advancement of the literature on experiential learning. Its fast development between 1976 and 2022 is meticulously tracked in the research. By using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny tools, the present study presents a concise overview of 507 records retrieved from the Scopus database using the keyword “Experiential Learning”, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis protocol. Deeper text mining was done using Python libraries “Pandas” and “Natural Language Toolkit” and regular expressions.
Findings
The findings reveal a surge in the number of publications on experiential learning and provide insights, particularly using the theory, context, characteristics, methodology analysis, supporting researchers and practitioners to understand learning better and provide perspectives for future research. Descriptive bibliometric analysis showed that most contributions are from the USA, the UK and Canada. In-depth content analysis revealed five clusters: developments in learning, management education, engineering curricula, organisational learning and knowledge management and entrepreneurship education. The keyword co-occurrence analysis enabled linkages between relevant fields of study and significant research domains. The most commonly used theories were: experiential learning theory, social learning theory, relational coordination theory, empowerment theory, feedback learning theory, effectuation theory and human capital theory.
Originality/value
This study uses information from the Scopus database to do a bibliometric analysis of experiential learning from 1976 to 2022. This study serves as a valuable resource for researchers in the field, helping them to position their work more explicitly within the existing literature and highlighting potential areas for future research. It does this by thoroughly analysing the literature on experiential learning using bibliometrics.

Purpose
Access to good menstrual products is a human rights concern. It is essential for normalising the life during menstrual cycles by making available all the resources necessary for managing them. Sustainable menstrual products are the novel products which can improve the women menstrual lifestyles and reduce the discomfort associated with menstruation. However, these products are not readily adopted by the women due to their perception resulting from various factors. Hence, this study aims to figure out these perceptions, which can promote and hinder the adoption of these products.
Design/methodology/approach
A survey was conducted for the purpose of data collection. The study uses questionnaire as a research instrument to gain an insight on women health beliefs towards sustainable menstrual products. Data was collected from the women respondents through convenience sampling. Structural equation modelling was applied to analyse the data.
Findings
The findings suggest that women with appropriate knowledge had a positive perception towards the sustainable menstrual products, further leading to positive behaviour. It was also noted that marketing efforts through cues to action had an impact on their behavioural patterns. The policymakers and the marketers can focus on such prospects to advocate the use of sustainable menstrual products so that healthcare is improved.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study that provides a comprehensive framework for analysing the impact of women health beliefs towards behaviour of sustainable menstrual products. The study adds meaningful insights to the sustainable menstrual literature.
