Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to identify which intrinsic motivations (ride comfort, safety and app convenience) and extrinsic motivation (monetary value) are sufficient and necessary to stimulate the reuse intention of smart mobility services. It also aims to understand the effect of gender on the impacts of these motivations on reuse intention.
Design/methodology/approach
This research utilized a multi-analytical approach with the combination of survey and qualitative analysis methods to enquire into the roles of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations influencing the reuse intention of smart mobility among different gender groups. Specifically, the study was conducted through the application of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), multigroup analysis (MGA) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA).
Findings
The findings of this research revealed that monetary value and ride comfort have a positive impact on travel consumers’ intention to reuse smart mobility for both gender groups. While ride comfort was the sole necessary factor for male users, ride comfort and app convenience were necessary conditions for females in their intention to reuse smart mobilities. Moreover, results indicated that females tend to rate safety and app convenience higher than males in their decision to reuse smart mobility.
Originality/value
Using an analytical research approach enables the development of in-depth insights into how different relationships and configurations of motivational factors impact travel consumers’ reuse intentions based on different gender roles. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first empirical research to identify the necessary motivations for reusing smart mobility services.

Abstract
Purpose
The contribution of this study is two-fold. First, we draw on attribution theory to develop a model for predicting how the knowledge, emotions, and satisfaction that consumers have regarding halal cosmetics can influence their willingness to pay more and recommend the products to others.
Design/methodology/approach
Survey data from 278 Indonesian and 163 Malaysian female consumers were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling. Second, we test the moderation role of sign value using metric invariance across the two different source markets.
Findings
The results obtained confirm that consumers exhibit positive emotions when they possess knowledge about halal cosmetics and their quality. Testing the double moderation further reveals that consumers with a high sign value behave differently from those with a low sign value.
Originality/value
These findings present practical insights that can be used by retailers and marketers in their strategies to boost the sale of halal cosmetics.

Abstract
Purpose
This review paper is based on secondary research of published literature on customer’s satisfaction in halal tourism to investigate, analyze and summarize what is already known about this current topic and to provide future directions about what could be known in the future.
Design/methodology/approach
This qualitative study follows a systematic approach, using the PRISMA protocol. Online databases, namely, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar, were used for the data extraction. The data under investigation include articles published till July 2023.
Findings
However, an academic exploration of the burgeoning customer’s satisfaction with halal tourism is just getting started. It is an interesting subset of the tourism industry with potential. Recent studies have shed light on the importance of customers’ satisfaction in halal tourism by highlighting its most important aspects, as well as the most prominent theories, published authors, journals and research gaps. Toward the end of this study, suggestions for future research are made along these lines.
Originality/value
This study examines the conceptual evolution, potential and fruitful application of customers’ satisfaction in halal tourism in the postpandemic world. This study provides intriguing contextual data and insightful knowledge presented in a new context. This study discusses a comprehensive investigation and includes both academic and managerial consequences.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to examine tourists' behavioral changes in response to health crises, this study examines the individual's uncertainty and adaptability to the challenges using behavioral coping strategies.
Design/methodology/approach
The study combines the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and protection motivation theory. Using the PLS-SEM technique, this study examines the relationship between the destination's competitive profits and travel intention of Iranian tourists in the post-Covid-19 pandemic.
Findings
The social-support coping (Instrumental) does not incorporate tourists' adaptive behaviors. Vulnerable vaccination significantly affects the extremeness of an individual's problem-focused coping, which affects tourist's adaptive behaviors in crisis time, indicating the effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccination on travel intention.
Research limitations/implications
The findings may assist tourism authorities and planners develop unique tourism products and services based on tourist behavior following the health crises.
Originality/value
This study contributes to development of the TPB method, indicating that visa exemption and competitive profits of a destination would motivate travel intention existing inefficacy of local government and its negative background, reshaping and thus influencing changing behavior.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to introduce and evaluate a model of host community support for sustainable tourism development (SSTD) based on the influential factors contributing to community support in a biosphere reserve.
Design/methodology/approach
Partial least squares structural equation modeling using SmartPLS 3 software is applied to analyze data collected from 473 residents of the Miankaleh Biosphere Reserve, Iran.
Findings
The findings reveal that the locals’ community support is affected by their level of environmental awareness, opportunity and attitudes toward SSTD. However, the results do not reveal an influence of environmental knowledge and community attachment on SSTD. The findings enrich the existing literature on community attitude predictors by showing that locals’ SSTD level is not consistently based on common predictors. Such support strongly depends on host communities’ attitudes toward supporting tourism, which is definitely not the same among residents. It is imperative to know whether people’s attitudes arise from a desire to protect the area or for reasons of self-interest.
Originality/value
The findings provide further support for the tenets of the segmentation approach and challenge existing knowledge on host communities’ attitudes about factors influencing residents toward SSTD. The findings have several practical implications regarding community participation for regional and national authorities and destination policymakers.
