Abstract
Purpose
Wheeled robots have been widely used in People’s Daily life. Accurate positioning is the premise of autonomous navigation. In this paper, an optimization-based visual-inertial-wheel odometer tightly coupled system is proposed, which solves the problem of failure of visual inertia initialization due to unobservable scale.The aim of this paper is to achieve robust localization of visually challenging scenes.
Design/methodology/approach
During system initialization, the wheel odometer measurement and visual-inertial odometry (VIO) fusion are initialized using maximum a posteriori (MAP). Aiming at the visual challenge scene, a fusion method of wheel odometer and inertial measurement unit (IMU) measurement is proposed, which can still be robust initialization in the scene without visual features. To solve the problem of low track accuracy caused by cumulative errors of VIO, the local and global positioning accuracy is improved by integrating wheel odometer data. The system is validated on a public data set.
Findings
The results show that our system performs well in visual challenge scenarios, can achieve robust initialization with high efficiency and improves the state estimation accuracy of wheeled robots.
Originality/value
To realize robust initialization of wheeled robot, wheel odometer measurement and vision-inertia fusion are initialized using MAP. Aiming at the visual challenge scene, a fusion method of wheel odometer and IMU measurement is proposed. To improve the accuracy of state estimation of wheeled robot, wheel encoder measurement and plane constraint information are added to local and global BA, so as to achieve refined scale estimation.

Industry 5.0 is referred to the subsequent industrialization. The ultimate goal of this transformation is to enable manufacturing solutions through collaboration with man and machine which are more user-friendly and increase work quality in comparison to Industry 4.0. This will be accomplished through the consumption of the creative potential of human specialists in the creation of an industry with more efficient, clever, and precise machines. It is predicted that several exciting breakthroughs and apps will help Industry 5.0 in its plan to gain more productivity and supply personalized goods in an open system. On the other hand, Industry 5.0 has had a greater global and international renown from the very beginning of its existence. Machine learning (ML) technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data will create a collaboration with people, robots, and other intelligent devices. Industry 5.0 continues to serve as an attractive driver for our society's workforce skills and young talent in search of purposeful professional lives. There are some challenges as well, such as working with advanced robots requires people to develop skills. People need to gain proper knowledge about collaboration with smart machines and the robot manufacturers industry. However, this ultimate overhaul is necessary for the industry to certify its reason as a solution provider for our society. These things will unquestionably ensure the long-term sustained development (SD) of any nation's economy.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to undertake a comprehensive analysis of innovation models, tracing their evolution from Innovation 1.0 to Innovation 4.0 and introducing the concept of Innovation 5.0. It explores the intersection between innovation models and the principles of sustainability, resilience and human-centeredness, providing insights into their implications for Industry 5.0, and their potential to foster a resilient ecosystem amidst challenges and multiple crisis.
Design/methodology/approach
To achieve this objective, the authors used a systematic literature review approach, considering academic articles on Innovation 4.0, Industry 5.0 (specifically in the context of innovation) and helix models of innovation. The authors conducted thematic analysis and content analysis, followed by keyword co-occurrence analysis, enabling us to systematically synthesize and interpret the relevant literature.
Findings
The results conclude that Innovation 5.0 is a new paradigm for innovation that fosters broader societal engagement, and emphasizes sustainability, resilience and human-centeredness. Innovation 5.0 is evolving, but it has the potential to transform the way we produce, consume and live. Using insights from the sextuple helix model, this research leverages media and ICT as sixth helix vital role of knowledge sharing, digital transformation, innovation ecosystem and next industrial revolution in this process.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on exploring Innovation 5.0 through the sextuple helix model, offering a fresh perspective on innovation models and their collaborative potential. Its contribution lies in providing practical insights into the transition to Innovation 5.0, emphasizing the need for sustainability, regulatory support and awareness while also offering clear recommendations for future research.

Purpose
The study seeks to understand the possible opportunities that Industry 5.0 might offer for various aspects of inclusive sustainability. The study aims to discuss existing perspectives on the classification of Industry 5.0 technologies and their underlying role in materializing the sustainability values of this agenda.
Design/methodology/approach
The study systematically reviewed Industry 5.0 literature based on the PRISMA protocol. The study further employed a detailed content-centric review of eligible documents and conducted evidence mapping to fulfill the research objectives.
Findings
The advancement of Industry 5.0 is currently underway, with noteworthy initial contributions enriching its knowledge base. Although a unanimous definition remains lacking, diverse viewpoints emerge concerning the recognition of fundamental technologies and the potential for yielding sustainable outcomes. The expected contribution of Industry 5.0 to sustainability varies significantly depending on the context and the nature of underlying technologies.
Practical implications
Industry 5.0 holds the potential for advancing sustainability at both the firm and supply chain levels. It is envisioned to contribute proportionately to the three sustainability dimensions. However, the current discourse primarily dwells in theoretical and conceptual domains, lacking empirical exploration of its practical implications.
Originality/value
This study comprehensively explores diverse perspectives on Industry 5.0 technologies and their potential contributions to economic, environmental and social sustainability. Despite its promise, the practical evidence supporting the effectiveness of Industry 5.0 remains limited. Certain conditions are necessary to realize the benefits of Industry 5.0 fully, yet the mechanisms behind these conditions require further investigation. In this regard, the study suggests several potential areas for future research.

Abstract
Purpose
This research delves into the realm of Business Model Innovation (BMI), integrating it with the human-centric, sustainable, and resilient principles of Industry 5.0, proposing a new theoretical framework.
Design/methodology/approach
An abductive approach has been chosen to expand existing knowledge developing new ideas based on emerging phenomena. Data were gathered via semi-structured interviews with directors, managers and curators of public institutions in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Spain encompassing Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM). These data were subsequently subjected to thematic analysis.
Findings
The findings indicate that the main enablers for Business Model Innovation (BMI) in combination with Industry 5.0 encompassed stakeholder, customer and organizational engagement, collaborative environment, knowledge and innovation management, and sustainability. These drivers were effectively leveraged through three pivotal facilitators-inhibitors: technology, resources, and leadership.
Research limitations/implications
The principal constraints are rooted in the narrow contextual focus and the limited participants number. However, upcoming research efforts may broaden the horizons of this multifaceted and extensive investigation.
Originality/value
This study is groundbreaking as it fills a significant gap in the existing literature by integrating Business Model Innovation (BMI) with the Industry 5.0 paradigm, a novel approach that has not been explored previously. Additionally, the inclusion of GLAM institutions in this research adds a unique dimension, as they have been largely overlooked in both research domains.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to review the different facets associated with Industry 5.0 (I5.0) and propose a conceptual framework to boost the applicability of this novel technological cum social aspects within industrial organizations for improved organizational sustainability.
Design/methodology/approach
This research work adopted a bibliometric analysis that encapsulates a quantitative set of tools for bibliometric and bibliographic information. This study uses the database of Scopus to acquire data related to different facets of I5.0. The study implies a different spectrum of terms to reach the final corpus of 91 articles related to I5.0. Furthermore, a conceptual define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC)-based framework based on different literature findings is proposed and validated based on the input of experts from different parts of the world.
Findings
The results indicate that I5.0 is still in its infancy. The wider applicability of I5.0 demands comprehensive theoretical knowledge of different facets of this new paradigm and the development of a framework to adopt it on a larger scale. Organizations that are in the race to adopt I5.0 face major challenges related to the digitization of processes along with well-defined cyber-physical systems and the lack of a dedicated framework to execute I5.0. Furthermore, the result also suggests that manufacturing industries are more ready to adopt I5.0 practices as compared to service industries, which can be attributed to well-defined technological measures available in manufacturing settings.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of the first studies that explore different know-how and challenges and provides a holistic view of I5.0 by providing a systematic adoption framework.

Abstract
Purpose
The focus of this research is to investigate if user-generated content (UGC) generated in the Booking platform can support quality management improvement within the hospitality industry by increasing customer satisfaction and eliminating defects more efficiently. Hence, it contributes to understanding how data-driven companies can rely on customer data to focus on innovation and performance improvement to meet customer requirements, eliminate defects and increase customer satisfaction.
Design/methodology/approach
Following the literature review, information was collected from the digital platform Booking, encompassing 15 hotel industry companies in Portugal Porto and Braga regions, selected due to their high number of customer reviews. This data was organized and categorized, eliminating all unnecessary information for the research and building an Excel database. The database was subsequently analysed with SPSS and Voyant software, performing statistical analysis, hypothesis testing and text-mining techniques to analyse the comments. After these analyses, applying quality tools allowed for more in-depth conclusions.
Findings
The research results highlight that customers' most relevant requirements in the Portuguese hospitality industry are breakfast, parking and a swimming pool. It was also possible to realize that the location is an attractive requirement, the bathroom is a must-be requirement and breakfast is a performance requirement. The results also allowed us to answer the most critical research question: “Is user-generated content a valuable aid to quality?” the answer is yes since it was possible to use the data to find improvements and faults/failures in the services.
Originality/value
The results of this study represent an essential step towards a complete understanding of how to take advantage of UGC within the hospitality industry by establishing a solid base of techniques, methods and quality tools for UGC analysis that can be applied in future research on different industry sectors.

Purpose
The study aims to explore the overall growth trend, top publishing countries, co-authorship and author keywords in the field of Industry 5.0.
Design/methodology/approach
This study presents the outcomes of a bibliometric analysis conducted using VOSviewer software. The analysis retrieved data from the Scopus database, including citations, co-authors, keywords, bibliometric coupling and co-occurrence.
Findings
The findings reveal a significant increase in publications and citations related to Industry 5.0 in recent years. China, the USA and India emerge as the leading countries driving research in this field. The co-authorship analysis indicates limited collaboration among authors, with only 48 out of 354 authors being linked through co-authorship. Through co-occurrence analysis, the investigation identifies the most frequently occurring keywords in the research, with “Industry 5.0” and “Industry 4.0” being the most frequently co-occurring keywords. The bibliographic coupling analysis identifies six clusters of research themes.
Research limitations/implications
The study solely relies on data gathered from the Scopus database for analysis on a specific date. Therefore, data from other databases collected at different times may yield different observations and findings.
Practical implications
This study enhances the knowledge of professionals and academia in Industry 5.0, enabling the professionals to efficiently and sustainably manage the sector.
Originality/value
The bibliometric analysis presented in this study provides valuable insights into the contributions made by authors, keywords and co-authors to the field of Industry 5.0. Additionally, the thematic analysis summarized in this study is a novel contribution to the field.

Purpose
This paper outlines the diversity and inclusion framework for Industry 5.0, which has human-centricity, sustainability and resilience as its main characteristics. This is concerning the disruption technology has caused.
Design/methodology/approach
A rapid scoping review was carried out, which collates recent scholarly outputs. It is based on a sample of 92 high-quality documents from two databases focusing on diversity and inclusion in Industry 5.0. Further, the authors have analyzed the literature based on the McKinsey 7S model and formed a diversity framework for Industry 5.0 to promote innovation.
Findings
These findings can support Diversity 5.0 applications with human–robot collaboration and a human-centric approach in Industry 5.0. The article provides key insights on cross-cutting themes like upskilling given digitization, innovation and other HR trends in the industry.
Practical implications
The study suggests that HR professionals, governments and policymakers can use the recommendations to broaden their perspectives and develop policies, interventions, laws and practices that will impact the future workforce and boost innovation.
Social implications
This will help organizations in Industry 5.0 to be competitive and build on their talent management strategies to fulfill their diversity goals as well as support sustainable development goals.
Originality/value
We give critical views on the aspects that will define the future of work in terms of skills, innovation and safety for employees, drawing on results from a wide range of theoretical and analytical viewpoints.

Purpose
Industry 5.0 provides significant social, environmental and economic benefits over previous industrial revolutions. However, research in the field of industry 5.0 is still at a very nascent stage. Little is known about research trends in the field and its applications in specific sectors as construction which have relatively low sustainability index. Hence, this study aims to explore research trends in industry 5.0 and its applications in the construction industry.
Design/methodology/approach
The study adopted a bibliometric analysis with the use of the vosviewer. The main search words used in the study were “Industry 5.0”, “Society 5.0” AND “Fifth Industrial Revolution”. Initial extracted papers with these keywords were 1036. After refining based on language, document type, key words and timeframe, a total of 188 papers were found suitable for the analysis.
Findings
The most impactful research on Industry 5.0 to date was from the United States, Australia and Sweden while the journal sustainability was found to be the highest document source on Industry 5.0. The application areas of industry 5.0 in the construction industry include health and safety, collaborative working, waste management, measurement of environmental features (indoor air quality, atmospheric pressure, noise, humidity and temperature) and forecasting of environmental, social or financial outcomes.
Research limitations/implications
The study used review based papers which form the bulk of the existing research on industry 5.0. This limits understanding of the practical applications, benefits and challenges associated with the use of industry 5.0.
Originality/value
This work contributes to the theory and practice of industry 5.0 by providing baseline data for future research directions on industry 5.0. The work specifically highlights the application areas of industry 5.0 in the construction industry and also indicates the need for questionnaire, interviews or case study based research to enhance understanding of the practical applications of industry 5.0.
