Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to evaluate the Digital Government Collaborative Platform (DGCP), which facilitates collaborations between the citizens and the government to address environmental issues in Sri Lanka. The DGCP is an artifact developed by the value-sensitive design approach.
Design/methodology/approach
The DGCP is evaluated following the Framework for Evaluation in Design Science Research (FEDS). In total, 224 citizens participated in the survey based on the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) and open questions about human values embedded in the design. Fifteen government officers were interviewed to enhance the evaluation.
Findings
The DGCP received positive evaluations from the citizens and government officers. The platform is attractive, novel and pragmatic, also generating hedonic experiences for the citizens. The users believed that human values are reflected in the DGCP. Furthermore, they shared a few suggestions to improve it.
Originality/value
The paper contributes knowledge to evaluating digital government systems, especially in developing countries. The human-value-centered DGCP was evaluated using multiple methods of quantitative (i.e. UEQ Survey) and qualitative (i.e. qualitative interviews with stakeholders) techniques. Furthermore, the systematic process of DGCP evaluation produces a case-based guideline for evaluating related and similar digital government systems using FEDS.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate and evaluate the prioritization and categorization method (PCM), which facilitates the active participation of process stakeholders (managers, owners, customers) in process assessments. Stakeholders evaluate processes in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and relevance against certain contextual business and industry factors. This collective evaluation serves as a foundation for the management decision-making process regarding process improvement and redesign.
Design/methodology/approach
The PCM is examined based on a case study at Ericsson. In total, 55 stakeholders, representing different organizational levels and functions, assessed eight core processes. Follow-up interviews and feedback after the evaluation sessions were collected for triangulation purpose.
Findings
The PCM helps Ericsson evaluate its processes within business context and industry environments. The results show that, to realize seamless end-to-end processes in the eight assessed processes, Ericsson has to make a greater effort to improve its process structures, governance and culture for fulfilling the needs of future business. Ericsson Steering Group is satisfied with the insights provided and has decided to train more stakeholders to use PCM.
Research limitations/implications
This research is based on a single case within a specific organizational setting. The results may not be necessary generalizable to other business and industry settings. Organizations need to configure PCM in consideration of their own processes and business contingencies to explore and fulfil their process improvement purposes.
Originality/value
This paper presents a new context-aware, easy-to-use and holistic method for business process management (BPM), the PCM. The method requires the active engagement of stakeholders, it focusses on developing dynamic BPM capabilities and fully embeds organizational contingencies and contextual factors in the decision-making regarding BPM. This paper contributes a novel method to explorative BPM.

Abstract
Purpose
To improve the academic integrity of online examinations, digital proctoring systems have recently been implemented in higher education institutions (HEIs). The paper aims to understand how digital proctoring has been practised in higher education (HE) and proposes future research directions for studying digital proctoring in HE.
Design/methodology/approach
A systematic literature review was conducted. The PRISMA procedure was adapted for the literature search. The topics were identified by topic modelling techniques from 154 relevant publications in seven databases.
Findings
Seven widely discussed topics in literature were identified, including solutions for detecting cheating and student authentication, challenges/issues of uptakes and students' performance in different proctoring environments.
Research limitations/implications
This paper provides insights for academics, policymakers, practitioners and students to understand the implementation of digital proctoring in academia, its adoption by HEIs, impacts on students' and educators' performance and the rapid increase in its use for digital exams in HEIs, with particular emphasis on the impacts of the systems on digitalising examinations in HE.
Originality/value
This review paper has systematically and critically described the state-of-the-art literature on digital proctoring in HE and provides useful insights and implications for future research on digital proctoring, and how academic integrity in online examinations can be enhanced, along with digitalising HE.

Abstract
The advent of the 3G world of mobile commerce has suffered from the wait‐and‐see mode over the last years. Existing barriers pose a challenge to all actors in the mobile commerce industry (MCI). Learning from the future and discovering a route to a desired future are keys to successful mobile commerce business. In this paper we argue that it is very important that all actors in the MCI use an industry foresight approach in order to discover a successful route to future markets. We present a framework for creating industry foresights and for understanding the future of mobile commerce. We focus on the mobile commerce industry as a whole and introduce two broad variables; (1) adoption and diffusion of mobile commerce products and services; and (2) the macro‐economic development trend. Based on these variables we build four foresight scenarios: Rapid‐Up, Rapid‐Down, Slow‐Down and Slow‐Up. On the basis of these four different scenarios we suggest some features of promising mobile commerce products and services. We are using information‐gathering agents in order to collect information for our analysis. The foresight framework will help all actors understand the future for m‐commerce.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to present the results of a comparison study of using a mobile medical information system between civilian medical students and physicians undergoing military service in Finland. Special emphasis is on differences in system usage, and perceptions towards the mobile medical system. Other points of interest are the important features of the mobile medical system, advantages and disadvantages of using the system in actual emergency situations and use of the device to search for general information.
Design/methodology/approach
The study is conducted between two groups of users, medical students and physicians undertaking military service.
Findings
The two groups are found to have similar behaviors toward the mobile system in different contexts. This study helps develop an understanding of how the two groups of users use a mobile medical information system while also providing insights of some behavioral differences between them. Not all of the differences are significant; indicating the possibility of developing a universal tool for both military and civilian contexts, but more contents of military medicine should be supplemented for military physicians.
Originality/value
This paper addresses an area of increasing research interest, i.e. mobile medical informatics.

Abstract
Purpose
By surveying current literature, the purposes of this paper are twofold: to identify current situation of mobile learning (m‐learning) adoption and specify the challenges and to identify the factors driving m‐learning adoption.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper reviews literature related to: m‐learning applications and challenging issues and adoption researches on m‐learning and related topics. A reflection on the unique nature of m‐learning adoption building upon the literature reviewed contributes to a new conceptual model.
Findings
Even if m‐learning is fast evolving, the review of literature reveals a challenge as to how to promote m‐learning adoption. In this light, the paper extends the scope of literature reviewed to the theories and factors relating to different roles m‐learning users have into consideration, namely, technology user, consumer and learner, in an attempt to offer a more complete understanding of m‐learning adoption. Insights are drawn from the proposed model.
Practical implications
A number of m‐learning projects have been initiated worldwide while guidelines drawing from m‐learning adoption research are in short supply. A research in this regard will contribute to a better understanding of developing acceptable m‐learning service.
Originality/value
Based on a literature review, the paper not only specifies the current situation of m‐learning adoption, but also develops factors influencing m‐learning adoption to enrich our understanding of m‐learning adoption – which help to facilitate and promote future empirical research.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to test previously developed models to identify factors that are perceived to affect the decision to adopt corporate intranet (CI) in a developing country.
Design/methodology/approach
The study used survey methodology. A set of questionnaires was returned from 436 intranet users at four major companies in Tunisia.
Findings
Several factors identified as significantly affecting users' adoption of CI in Tunisian companies: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, information quality, compatibility, computer self‐efficacy, personal innovativeness, superior pressure, peer pressure, self‐image, tech support, and top management support. Practical implications –The findings of this study can benefit practitioners as it provides organizations and top managers with a short list of factors that can significantly affect the adoption and usage of CI.
Originality/value
The study extends previously tested theories and models to a developing country environment.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to characterize the galvanic corrosion behavior of a simulated X80 pipeline steel welded joint (PSWJ) reconstructed by the wire beam electrode (WBE) and numerical simulation methods.
Design/methodology/approach
The galvanic corrosion of an X80 PSWJ was studied using WBE and numerical simulation methods. The microstructures of the coarse-grained heat affected zone, fine-grained heat affected zone and intercritical heat affected zone were simulated in X80 pipeline steel via Gleeble thermomechanical simulation processing.
Findings
Comparing the corrosion current density of coupled and isolated weld metal (WM), base metal (BM) and heat-affected zone (HAZ), the coupled WM exhibited a higher corrosion current density than isolated WM; the coupled BM and HAZ exhibited lower corrosion current densities than isolated BM and HAZ. The results exhibited that the maximum anodic galvanic current fitted the Gumbel distribution. Moreover, the numerical simulation results agreed well with the experimental data.
Originality/value
This study provides insight into corrosion evaluation of heterogeneous welded joints by a combination of experiment and simulation. The method of reconstruction of the welded joint has been proven to be a feasible approach for studying the corrosion behavior of the X80 PSWJ with high spatial resolution.
