Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to explore the cross-level effect of the top management team (TMT) on group ambidextrous innovation and to analyze the mediating role of group behavioral integration and the moderating effect of group expertise heterogeneity.
Design/methodology/approach
We conducted a multi-source and multi-stage survey. We collected valid data from 43 companies in China, resulting in 141 samples from 43 TMTs and 462 valid responses from 111 organizational groups. The proposed theoretical model and hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling.
Findings
The study findings demonstrated that TMT behavioral integration was positively related to group behavioral integration. Group behavioral integration mediates the relationship between TMT behavioral integration and these two types of innovations. Furthermore, we found that group expertise heterogeneity magnified the positive effect of group behavioral integration on exploratory innovation.
Originality/value
This study reveals the cross-level effects of TMT behavioral integration on other organizational groups and enriches the existing literature on TMT behavioral integration and ambidextrous innovation.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to propose a new composite metal fin structure to enhance heat transfer efficiency during the phase change energy storage (PCES) process in a hot water oil displacement system.
Design/methodology/approach
PCES numerical unit is developed by varying the radii of annular fins and the number of corrugated fins. The impact of the finned structure on melting characteristics, energy storage performance and rate of heat storage is analyzed.
Findings
This study indicate the presence of non-uniform melting behavior in PCES unit during the heat charging process, which can be mitigated by increasing the number of corrugated fins and the radius of annular fins.
Originality/value

Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates how individuals' self-awareness (specifically, private and public self-awareness) and environment-awareness (perceived expertise, similarity and familiarity) shape herd behavior, encompassing discounting one’s information and imitating others. Drawing from latent state-trait theory, this research aims to discern the impact of these factors on purchase intention and behavior.
Design/methodology/approach
Longitudinal data from 231 users in Xiaohongshu, China’s leading social commerce platform, were collected to test the proposed model and hypotheses.
Findings
The findings from this study show that private self-awareness negatively influences discounting one’s own information and imitating others. Public self-awareness positively affects imitating others, while it does not affect discounting one’s own information. Perceived expertise diminishes discounting one’s own information but does not significantly affect imitating others. Perceived similarity and perceived familiarity are positively related to discounting one’s own information and imitating others. The results confirm different interaction effects between self-awareness and environment-awareness on herd behavior.
Originality/value
First, this contributes back to the latent state-trait theory by expanding the applicability of this theory to explain the phenomenon of herd behavior. Second, this study takes an important step toward theoretical advancement in the extant literature by qualifying that both self- and environment-awareness should be considered to trigger additional effects on herd behavior. Third, this study provides a more enlightened understanding of herd behavior by highlighting the significance of considering the interplay between self- and environment-awareness on herd behavior. Finally, this study also empirically confirms the validity of classifying self-awareness into private and public aspects.

Abstract
Purpose
With the rise of digital construction, using organizational capabilities to improve project performance in a turbulent environment has become critical for the high-quality development of the construction industry. However, the complex relationships among them remain unclear. Therefore, this study explores these linear relationships under the digital construction mode and reveals the driving mechanism of multi-factor linkage on project performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected from 263 project participants in digital construction projects in China using a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing was conducted using partial least square structural equation modeling, and the differentiated patterns of project performance formation were revealed through fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis.
Findings
Organizational information technology, innovation, coordination, integration management and emergency management capabilities improve project performance. Environmental turbulence is a positive moderator between coordination capabilities and project performance, while other capabilities do not align with environmental turbulence. The research obtained five equivalent configurations for achieving high project performance, such as “capability layout” and “internal driven,” and two paths that lead to non-high project performance. Finally, in contrast to existing studies, we discovered the outstanding contribution of emergency management capabilities to project performance and the auxiliary effect of information technology capabilities.
Originality/value
This study innovatively integrates a dimensional framework of construction project organizations’ capabilities under a digital construction mode and extends the organizational capabilities to the specific and operational capability dimension level. Furthermore, this study opens the “black box” of the influence of organizational capabilities on project performance in environmental turbulence and reveals the differentiated and equivalent configurations for the formation of project performance. The study broadens the theoretical perspective of organizational capabilities on project performance research in the digital context and provides practical enlightenment for guiding the capability configuration of construction project organizations in a turbulent environment. Abstract
Purpose
Drawing upon the Conservation of Resources theory and Relational Demography Theory, we examine the crossover of supervisor family experiences to subordinates in the workplace. We posit that supervisor family-to-work enrichment and conflict influence subordinate perceptions of supervisor support for work–family, which, in turn, positively affects subordinate work engagement and job satisfaction and negatively affects subordinate turnover intentions. The effects of supervisor family-to-work enrichment and conflict on perceptions of supervisor support are respectively suggested to be strengthened and weakened by the demographic similarity between the supervisor and the subordinate.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a sample of 496 employees nested within 83 supervisors from China, we conducted a multilevel analysis.
Findings
Our results indicate that supervisor family-to-work conflict and supervisor family-to-work enrichment have negative and positive effects (respectively) on subordinates’ perceptions of supervisor work–family support, and this effect is moderated by low, rather than high, similarity in the supervisor–subordinate dyad. An overall indirect effect of supervisor family-to-work enrichment and family-to-work conflict on subordinate work engagement, job satisfaction and turnover intentions through the mediator of perceived supervisor work–family support is also confirmed.
Practical implications
From a practical standpoint, our research emphasizes the importance for organizations to support supervisors in achieving work–family balance in order to promote positive employee work-related outcomes.
Originality/value
Our study contributes to work–family literature by unraveling how and when resources may travel through supervisors to affect the generation of new resources (i.e. supervisor support for work–family) and ultimately affect subordinate outcomes in the workplace.

Abstract
Purpose
This study examines conditions under which taxes and subsidies designed to mitigate corporate environmental impact positively influence corporate pro-environmental behavior (CPEB) adoption, considering unique dynamics within different industries.
Design/methodology/approach
A systematic literature review was conducted on 171 articles. Articles were coded using an inductive grid for comprehensive examination.
Findings
Taxes generally positively influence CPEB adoption, but reduced positive or even negative effects can arise. Subsidies, while often facilitating the achievement of environmental goals, variously impact CPEB. Explanations for variations include the level of taxation or subsidy, economic agent affected, subsidy source, nature of subsidy, factors external to tax or subsidy characteristics and conflicting environmental objectives. We suggest research avenues for each aspect, to enhance literature on the influence of tax policies on promoting CPEB.
Practical implications
Beyond general tax-policy considerations, we provide policymakers with recommendations for tax policies designed to promote CPEB.
Originality/value
We examine the distinctive effects of taxes and subsidies on CPEB adoption within diverse industries ((re)manufacturing, agriculture, shipping, automobile, freight transport and power generation). We compare specific effects across industries, and advocate detailed exploration of recurrent elements identified, emphasizing their potential significance in designing taxes and subsidies that promote CPEB.

Abstract
Purpose
The imperative for sustainable energy systems is increasingly pressing as the world transitions toward renewable energy sources. Among these, triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as a viable option for wind energy harvesting. However, they face significant challenges, including material durability under varying wind conditions; the intricacy of material selection and performance; and the trade-off between wear resistance and triboelectric efficiency. This study aims to address the above issues.
Design/methodology/approach
Herein, a mode-switch TENG (MS-TENG) was designed to overcome these limitations and serve as a self-powered energy solution for Internet of Things (IoT) sensor networks. The MS-TENG incorporates a multi-stage functional layer and an automatic mode-switching mechanism between contact and non-contact operation, thereby enhancing both efficiency and durability.
Findings
It is demonstrated that the MS-TENG achieves a maximum instantaneous output power of 0.069 mW with minimal mechanical wear, effectively capturing wind energy. Its capability to charge capacitors and power a range of electronic devices, such as temperature and humidity sensors, electronic watches and water immersion guards, underscores its practical utility across diverse settings.
Originality/value
This research situates the MS-TENG as a pioneering technology in smart sensor applications for future energy-harvesting endeavors, optimizing energy acquisition under fluctuating wind conditions and reinforcing the sustainability of IoT networks.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to conduct a thorough study of the current research status and trends of Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC), which is thriving and exerting significant influences on society, the economy and technology. This study will encompass both the ample opportunities and the array of emerging risks and challenges associated with AIGC. Furthermore, this paper seeks to propose practical optimization strategies to facilitate its continued development.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 12,702 documents in Scopus, CNKI and Altmetric.com databases are analyzed in this paper. The visualization tools of CiteSpace and Netdraw are used to systematically analyze AIGC from macro, meso and micro perspectives based on bibliometric indicators. The analysis is combined with altmetrics indicators to identify hotspots in AIGC-related research and predict future development trends. Finally, substantive optimization suggestions for the development of AIGC are put forward.
Findings
Research has found that firstly, both domestic and international research in the field of AIGC is actively catching up with the pace of the era. Institutions and authors recognize the indispensability of collaboration, leading to the emergence of interdisciplinary cooperation trends. Secondly, at the thematic research level, both domestic and international studies cover the overall trends of AIGC, including technology, applications, challenges and coping strategies. However, international scholars tend to focus more on technological breakthroughs, while domestic researchers emphasize the formulation of national laws and regulations. Finally, through the analysis of hotspots and trends, it is predicted that future research will focus more on addressing the legal issues regarding the originality of AIGC, enhancing its interactivity, optimizing its applications, emphasizing ethical considerations and efficiently addressing major social issues such as pandemics using AIGC technology. Corresponding optimization strategies are proposed to ensure the development of AIGC is consistent with global consensus and values, creating a beneficial environment for its sustainable development.
Originality/value
Firstly, this paper integrates data from three databases and uses multiple software tools to conduct a comparative analysis of the research trends in AIGC from both domestic and international perspectives. Secondly, this paper not only analyzes the academic influence of AIGC-related research through bibliometric indicators but also combines altmetrics indicators to explore the public’s attitude toward AIGC. This method systematically reveals the overall development trends, leading institutions and researchers, thematic research areas, hotspot evolution and future development trends of AIGC-related research, providing theoretical references for subsequent scholars in AIGC research. Additionally, this paper helps governments, institutions and organizations to precisely and wisely formulate policies and investments, as well as to effectively comprehend the development trends of AIGC and promote the advancement of AIGC technology and applications.

Abstract
Purpose
Adopting the context, input, process and product (CIPP) evaluation assessment model, this study aims to achieve three objectives: (1) to identify the characteristics of educational activities conducted by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) museum; (2) to explore the key factors that promote and optimize the educational objectives of the ITTF museum and (3) to develop a framework that attempts to unpack the complex and dynamic processes of activities conducted by the ITTF museum.
Design/methodology/approach
A qualitative research using in-depth interviews was conducted to explore the functions and activities of the ITTF museum.
Findings
The path of educational activities carried out is expressed in four aspects: (1) educational background including philosophy and purpose, advantages possessed and the learning needs and readiness of the audience; (2) the resource input includes resource allocation, venue structure, funding channels and the basis of activity program design; (3) the educational activity process includes external cooperation and exchange, the specific content of the activity programs, the teaching strategies and methods during the activities and the response to the challenges of the epidemic and (4) the results of the activities include the number of audience and population distribution, evaluation and feedback of the activities, ways and means of promoting the activities and difficulties and challenges faced.
Research limitations/implications
In the follow-up studies, quantitative research can be conducted by developing a questionnaire based on the current study’s findings. Evaluation scales can be set to continue to enrich and improve the uncovered research content, which is conducive to promoting the objectives of the ITTF museum and giving full play to the educational function, thus enriching the research of sports museums.
Originality/value
The contributions of this study are as follows. First, it enriches the application of the CIPP assessment model in the context of sports museums. It helps the ITTP museum better perform its educational function and provides a reference for future activities of sports museums.

Design/methodology/approach
This paper proposes an artificial neural network model based on IPSO algorithm for intelligent monitoring of hydrostatic turntables.
Findings
The theoretical model proposed in this paper improves the accuracy of the working performance of the static pressure turntable and provides a new direction for intelligent monitoring of the static pressure turntable. Therefore, the theoretical research in this paper is novel.
Originality/value
Theoretical novelties: an ANN model based on the IPSO algorithm is designed to monitor the load-bearing performance of a static pressure turntable intelligently; this study show that the convergence accuracy and convergence speed of the IPSO-NN model have been improved by 52.55% and 10%, respectively, compared to traditional training models; and the proposed model could be used to solve the multidimensional nonlinear problem in the intelligent monitoring of hydrostatic turntables.
