Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to explore the importance of personalisation in the relationship between the architectural design of homes and inhabitants’ psychological well-being.
Design/methodology/approach
This interdisciplinary mixed-method study first investigates the existence of a link between personalisation and users’ association with home through a quantitative study (n = 101) and then explores the nature of this relationship through qualitative interviews (n = 13) in a sequential explanatory approach.
Findings
The main findings of the study highlight the significance of personalisation in relation to the way people perceive home. A direct link was established between participants’ involvement in the transformation of the home and their satisfaction with the residence, as well as satisfaction with life in general. Further thematic analysis of the qualitative study revealed further conceptualisations of personalisation, which together form an umbrella concept called transformability.
Research limitations/implications
The findings underscore the need for embedding flexibility as an architectural concept in the design of residential buildings for improving the well-being of occupants.
Originality/value
The design of homes has a great impact on inhabitants’ psychological well-being. This is becoming of greater importance in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic that has led to an increase in the amount of time spent in homes. This research contributes to this debate by proposing concepts for a deeper understanding of architectural influences on the psychology of the home.

Abstract
Purpose
Developing cybersecurity awareness (CSA) is becoming a more and more important goal for modern organizations. CSA is a complex sociotechnical system where social, technical and organizational aspects affect each other in an intertwined way. With the goal of providing a holistic representation of CSA, this paper aims to develop a taxonomy of factors that contribute to organizational CSA.
Design/methodology/approach
The research used a design science approach including a literature review and practitioner interviews. A taxonomy was drafted based on 71 previous research publications. It was then updated and refined in two iterations of interviews with domain experts.
Findings
The result of this research is a taxonomy which outline six domains for importance for organization CSA. Each domain includes several activities which can be undertaken to increase CSA within an organization. As such, it provides a holistic overview of the CSA field.
Practical implications
Organizations can adopt the taxonomy to create a roadmap for internal CSA practices. For example, an organization could assess how well it performs in the six main themes and use the subthemes as inspiration when deciding on CSA activities.
Originality/value
The output of this research provides an overview of CSA based on information extracted from existing literature and then reviewed by practitioners. It also outlines how different aspects of CSA are interdependent on each other.

Abstract
Purpose
Although the nursing role appears central in delivering collaborative models of care little is known about the experience of nurses within implementation of integrated nursing care.
Design/methodology/approach
A scoping review to identify what is known about the experience of nurses implementing integrated care in the community, incorporating thematic analysis utilising the Rainbow Model.
Findings
Although noting a paucity of evidence, findings indicate implementation of integrated care models provides both challenges and opportunities to nurses across all systems levels. Thematic analysis highlights a disproportionate lack of focus on organisational integration of nursing services within integrated care. Exploration of tacit attributes and network development is suggested to support nursing delivery of services which challenge traditional organisational and professional boundaries.
Research limitations/implications
Limited research exploring experiences of nurses in implementing integrated care suggests more rigorous mixed methods or qualitative research is indicated, including case studies exploring organisational integration, nursing leadership strategies and how tacit attributes support collaborative working.
Originality/value
Using a systems approach, applying the Rainbow Model within scoping review analysis, enabled exploration of what is known about nursing within the contemporary context of integrated healthcare services.

Abstract
Purpose
This study proposes a novel method utilising a speech-word pair bipartite network to examine the correlation structure between members of parliament (MPs) in the context of the UK- China relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
We construct MP-word pair bipartite networks based on the co-occurrence relationship between MPs and words in their speech content. These networks are then mapped into monopartite MPs correlation networks. Additionally, the study calculates correlation network indicators and identifies MP communities and factions to determine the characteristics of MPs and their interrelation in the UK-China relationship. This includes insights into the distribution of key MPs, their correlation structure and the evolution and development trends of MP factions.
Findings
Analysis of the parliamentary speeches on China-related affairs in the British Parliament from 2011 to 2020 reveals that the distribution and interrelationship of MPs engaged in UK-China affairs are centralised and discrete, with a few core MPs playing an integral role in the UK-China relationship. Among them, MPs such as Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, David Cameron, Lord Hunt of Chesterton and Lord Howell of Guildford formed factions with significant differences; however, the continuity of their evolution exhibits unstableness. The core MP factions, such as those led by Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon and David Cameron, have achieved a level of maturity and exert significant influence.
Research limitations/implications
The research has several limitations that warrant acknowledgement. First, we mapped the MP-word pair bipartite network into the MP correlation network for analysis without directly analysing the structure of MPs based on the bipartite network. In future studies, we aim to explore various types of analysis based on the proposed bipartite networks to provide more comprehensive and accurate references for studying UK-China relations. In addition, we seek to incorporate semantic-level analyses, such as sentiment analysis of MPs, into the MP-word -pair bipartite networks for in-depth analysis. Second, the interpretations of MP structures in the UK-China relationship in this study are limited. Consequently, expertise in UK-China relations should be incorporated to enhance the study and provide more practical recommendations.
Practical implications
Firstly, the findings can contribute to an objective understanding of the characteristics and connotations of UK-China relations, thereby informing adjustments of focus accordingly. The identification of the main factions in the UK-China relationship emphasises the imperative for governments to pay greater attention to these MPs’ speeches and social relationships. Secondly, examining the evolution and development of MP factions aids in identifying a country’s diplomatic focus during different periods. This can assist governments in responding promptly to relevant issues and contribute to the formulation of effective foreign policies.
Social implications
First, this study expands the research methodology of parliamentary debates analysis in previous studies. To the best of our knowledge, we are the first to study the UK-China relationship through the MP-word-pair bipartite network. This outcome inspires future researchers to apply various knowledge networks in the LIS field to elucidate deeper characteristics and connotations of UK-China relations. Second, this study provides a novel perspective for UK-China relationship analysis, which deepens the research object from keywords to MPs. This finding may offer important implications for researchers to further study the role of MPs in the UK-China relationship.
Originality/value
This study proposes a novel scheme for analysing the correlation structure between MPs based on bipartite networks. This approach offers insights into the development and evolving dynamics of MPs.

Abstract
Purpose
Invented in late 1890s, asbestos cement sheeting rose to prominence during the post-Second World War period as a building material for low-cost housing by state housing commissions and low-income families (“fibro homes”). The adverse health effects of asbestos fibres in the building industry and home renovation activities are well documented. Fibro homes of the 1950s and 1960s are increasingly coming under the gaze of heritage studies, which brings to the fore the question of how to deal with the asbestos cement sheeting most are clad with.
Design/methodology/approach
This paper provides the first systematic review to assess the literature (126 papers were identified in Google Scholar and scanned for content) on the conservation management of asbestos cement sheeting in heritage properties.
Findings
Overall, engagement with the conservation management of asbestos cement sheeting in heritage properties was low, with only two sources dealing with asbestos cement sheeting in any level of detail. The studies note that if asbestos cement sheeting is in good condition, it should be left alone. Numerous conservation and repair options do exist, in particular the application of (coloured) sealants that extend the life of asbestos cement sheets and asbestos cement roofing.
Originality/value
This paper represents the first systematic review to assess conservation management options for asbestos cement sheeting in heritage properties.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to explore blockchain potential for digital marketing (BlkChn-Mk-KAP) by developing and validating a measurement model for assessing the constructs of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) related to blockchain technology in digital marketing.
Design/methodology/approach
A four-study process was used. The first study reviewed the literature to develop a pool of possible measurement items. Using exploratory factor analysis and reliability assessments, Study 2 (n = 162) investigated the dimensionality of the items developed in Study 1. The factorial structure from Study 2 was validated in Study 3 (n = 204), and the measurement model invariance was assessed using covariance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM). Finally, in Study 4 (n = 203), the predictive validity of the BlkChn-Mk-KAP was tested using a CB-SEM approach, testing its constructs correlations with the perceived usefulness of blockchain for digital marketing.
Findings
The findings indicate that the BlkChn-Mk-KAP measurement model comprises three-dimensional multi-item scales: knowledge, attitude and practice.
Research limitations/implications
This study introduces a promising BlkChn-Mk-KAP model to examine blockchain’s role in digital marketing. The authors acknowledge the sampling limitation in this research. To enhance the generalisability of the findings, future research should expand to different groups, including generation, gender and age. In addition, further exploration of the explicit links between blockchain knowledge, attitudes and subsequent digital marketing performance is warranted.
Practical implications
Educating employees about blockchain technology’s unique features can shape favourable attitudes and stimulate the utilisation of blockchain-enabled technologies in digital marketing practice. BlkChn-Mk-KAP can offer a reliable and valid instrument to benchmark marketers’ KAP of blockchain-powered digital marketing as they implement blockchain technology to gain a competitive advantage.
Social implications
This study helps to adopt sustainable practices ensuring the wellbeing of the key stakeholders.
Originality/value
This research introduces the first validated conceptualisation and measurement model, BlkChn-Mk-KAP, to evaluate blockchain KAPs among digital marketing professionals.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to develop workplace well-being indexes for construction sites of different project types (infrastructure, high-rise and low-rise). Accordingly, the study objectives are to identify the critical factors that affect workplace well-being at construction sites, compare the critical factors between different project types, categorize the critical factors into subgroups and compute indexes for the critical factors and subgroups.
Design/methodology/approach
Data from a systematic literature review and semi-structured interviews with construction industry professionals were used to extract 19 potential factors that affect workplace well-being. Then, a structured questionnaire survey was distributed, and 169 valid responses were collected. Finally, the data were analyzed using normalized mean analysis, agreement analysis, factor analysis and fuzzy synthetic evaluation.
Findings
The study findings revealed that there are 11, 11, 8 and 12 critical factors across overall infrastructure, high-rise and low-rise construction projects. Out of those, six critical factors are overlapping across project types, including “general safety and health monitoring,” “salary package,” “timeline of salary payment,” “working hours,” “communication between workers” and “planning of the project.” Accordingly, the critical factors can be categorized into two subgroups within each project type. Finally, the development of indexes shows that infrastructure construction projects have the greatest index compared to other project types.
Originality/value
This study contributes to filling the current knowledge gap by developing workplace well-being indexes at construction sites across different project types. The indexes would assist decision-makers in understanding the current state of workplace well-being. This increases the commitment and recognition of well-being across different construction project types.

Abstract
Purpose
There are two main objectives in this study. First, we aim to develop a set of constructs for health task management support (HTMS) features to evaluate which health-related tasks are supported by mobile health application (mHealth app) functions. Second, drawing on innovation resistance theory (IRT), we examine the impacts of the newly developed HTMS dimensions on perceived usefulness, alongside other barrier factors contributing to technology anxiety.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a mixed-method research design, this research seeks to develop new measurement scales that reflect how mHealth apps support older adults’ health-related needs based on interviews. Subsequently, data were collected from older adults and exploratory factor analysis was used to confirm the validity of the new scales. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze survey data from 602 older adults.
Findings
The PLS-SEM results indicated that medical management task support, dietary task support, and exercise task support were positively associated with perceived usefulness, while perceived complexity and dispositional resistance to change were identified as antecedents of technology anxiety. Perceived usefulness and technology anxiety were found to positively and negatively influence adoption intention, respectively.
Originality/value
This study enriches the information systems literature by developing a multidimensional construct that delineates how older adults’ health-related needs can be supported by features of mHealth apps. Drawing on IRT, we complement the existing literature on resistance to innovation by systematically examining the impact of five types of barriers on technology anxiety.

Purpose
Considering the significance of knowledge with respect to the current economic era, this study exclusively focuses on perceived negative workplace gossips (NWG) and knowledge-hiding behavior through a self-evaluation perspective. Further, this study also aims to explore the mediating role of workplace ostracism and moderating role of neuroticism in the relationship between perceived NWGs and knowledge hiding behavior (KHB).
Design/methodology/approach
Relying on the self-verification theory, data were collected from 323 employees working in the largest public sector universities of Punjab, Pakistan. Data were collected in three-time lags to overcome common method bias and social desirability issues. PROCESS macro bootstrap method were used to confirm the proposed model and hypothesis investigation.
Findings
The findings of the study revealed that perceived NWGs increase KHB. Additionally, workplace ostracism mediates the relationship between perceived NWGs and KHB. The findings of the study also suggest neuroticism moderates the relationship between workplace ostracism and KHBs.
Originality/value
Based on the self-evaluation concept, this research provides new insight by linking NWGs and KHB, especially from gossipee’s (target’s) perspective in the Pakistani cultural context. By examining the mediating role of workplace ostracism and the moderating role of neuroticism, this research responds to a recent call to explore more mechanisms between NWG and KHB. Finally, this research offers significant implications to managers and organizations that how and when their work environment can limit the impact of NWG.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper confirms and expands upon the implicit and explicit personality model of Bing et al. (2007) by replicating earlier findings and conducting an exploratory test of the three-way interactive effects of implicit and explicit aggressive personality on positive work behaviors by including the situational context of justice perceptions.
Design/methodology/approach
In total, 186 hospital employees completed a survey of implicit and explicit aggression and organizational justice perceptions. Supervisors rated the employees’ organizational citizenship behaviors directed at the organization (OCBOs) and individuals (OCBIs), and the number of commendations employees received was obtained from the hospital. The data were analyzed with multiple regression analysis.
Findings
Our exploratory results showed that all prototypes tended to withhold OCBOs when justice perceptions were lower. Specifically, when procedural justice was higher, manifest aggressives (higher implicit/higher explicit aggression) had the lowest levels of OCBOs, and prosocials (lower implicit/lower explicit aggression) had the highest levels of OCBOs. Overcompensating prosocials (lower implicit/higher explicit aggression) generally had the highest number of commendations across the three justice dimensions. Nonsignificant interactions were found for interactional justice and OCBIs.
Research limitations/implications
This study can assist researchers and practitioners in understanding how organizations should pair enhanced employee selection with improved organizational support for the best results.
Originality/value
This study confirms and extends previous work on the interaction of implicit and explicit personality by conducting an exploratory test of the role of situations (i.e. justice perceptions) in predicting positive (vs negative) outcomes.
