Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to design a novel 3 degree-of-freedom parallel-driven hydraulic wrist (PHW) joint, characterized by a compact structure, heavy payload capacity and spherical workspace.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, the kinematics and dynamics mathematical model of PHW is analyzed based on the closed-loop vector method, screw theory and virtual work principle. And the key parameters of PHW are determined based on the singularity analysis. The integrated design method of hydraulic and mechanical systems is used, thereby enabling a hose-less configuration that fosters a low-leakage hydraulic system structure with reduced self-weight. Additionally, this research proposed a dynamic nonlinear compensation control methodology predicated on a payload model to enhance the stability and precision of trajectory tracking for PHW. Finally, several experiments have been conducted to evaluate and validate the performance of the proposed approach and the payload capacity of PHW.
Findings
Experiment results show that PHW has a payload-to-self-weight ratio of 4(payload 14 kg with self-weight 3.5 kg) under supply pressure 7 MPa. The experimental assessment of payload capacity substantiates the efficacy of the dynamic nonlinear compensation control method for PHW. Remarkably, the trajectory tracking errors for PHW remain under 0.03 rad, even when subjected to payloads of 10.5 and 14 kg.
Originality/value
This study presents an effective parallel hydraulic-driven wrist structure. This parallel structure provides a spherical workspace with flexible motion, and larger payload capacity compared with the existing robot wrist.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing upon social learning theory (SLT), the study examines the consequences of ethical leadership on followers' voice behavior facets (promotive and prohibitive). The study tests hypotheses about the processing mechanism (moral identity) and the boundary condition (proactive personality) to understand these relationships.
Design/methodology/approach
The study collected time-lagged survey data through an online structured questionnaire from 182 respondents. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to ensure the validity and reliability of the data. Moreover, structural equation modeling was run to test the hypotheses using AMOS.
Findings
Ethical leadership positively affects followers' promotive and prohibitive voice behavior via the psychological mechanism of moral identity. Proactive personality moderates the moral identity – promotive and moral identity – prohibitive voice relationships, such that these relations are stronger when the individuals are high on proactive personality.
Research limitations/implications
Robust evidence of a genuine cause-and-effect relationship may not be yielded owing to cross-sectional and self-reported data at the follower level of analysis. Future researchers can use dyadic, longitudinal and experimental designs to overcome these limitations. Organizations targeting to increase voice behavior can benefit from maintaining ethical leaders and proactive followers at the workplace.
Originality/value
The study significantly contributes to the ethical leadership and voice behavior literature. Ethical leadership enhances followers' promotive/prohibitive voice behaviors through their moral identity enhancement. The paper also confirmed that a proactive personality is a critical boundary condition in these relationships. Empirical evidence from the Eastern context has been added, and research directions have also been provided.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to clarify the psychological mechanism of international contractors' fraud by linking performance pressure to fraudulent intention through the displacement of responsibility and addressing the moderating role of moral intensity.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on moral disengagement theory, performance pressure was hypothesized to be positively associated with fraudulent intention by mediating the displacement of responsibility. Drawing on the issue-contingent theory, moral intensity was hypothesized to inhibit the relationship between performance pressure and displacement of responsibility in three aspects: magnitude of consequences (MC), probability of effect (PE) and social consensus (SC). The scenario-based questionnaire was conducted to collect information from contractors spread across 50 countries. The partial least squares structural equation modeling was employed to assess the proposed model.
Findings
The results demonstrated that performance pressure was positively associated with the fraudulent intention, and displacement of responsibility exerted a positive partial mediating impact between performance pressure and fraudulent intention. Regarding moral intensity in the moderating analysis, the negative moderating role of MC and PE was significant, while that of SC was insignificant.
Practical implications
This study provides international construction practitioners with a deep understanding of the formation mechanism of fraud at the psychological level.
Originality/value
It clarifies the psychological mechanism from performance pressure to fraudulent intention by integrating a mediation impact from the displacement of responsibility and a moderation effect from MC and PE. It contributes to the sparse research on how situational factors shape individuals' fraudulent intentions in the international context. It provides a fresh perspective on fraud by constructing a formation model from moral psychological theories.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to explore the determinants of behavioral intentions during the previsit stage by investigating the influence of audience involvement with the audiovisual product and the mediating role played by place attachment.
Design/methodology/approach
Structural equation modeling was employed to verify the hypothesized relationships using the AMOS 24.0 program to assess the proposed model. A total of 564 young Chinese audiences who had watched the Thai television (TV) series “I Told Sunset About You” but had not previously visited Phuket, Thailand, were collected using the online survey as participants.
Findings
The findings indicate that audience involvement has a significant positive effect on place attachment and behavioral intentions during the previsit stage. Place attachment significantly influences behavioral intentions. Moreover, the result suggests that place attachment significantly mediates the relationship between audience involvement and behavioral intentions.
Research limitations/implications
This study contributes to film tourism research by revealing the crucial role of audience involvement in enhancing place attachment and fostering behavioral intentions toward depicted destinations among potential tourists.
Practical implications
This study suggests that destination marketers should be aware of the soft power of films and TV series to promote destination and attract prospective tourists.
Originality/value
This study provides a distinctive perspective on the interrelationships between audience involvement, place attachment, and previsit behavioral intentions. Additionally, it sheds light on the underlying mechanisms influencing potential tourists' behaviors in the context of film tourism.

Purpose
The widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the hospitality industry has triggered concerns among frontline service employees about their future careers, namely, AI awareness. This study aims to explore whether AI awareness influences frontline service employees’ silence through psychological contract breach and whether this process is contingent on frontline service employees’ moral identity, drawing on social exchange theory and moral identity theory.
Design/methodology/approach
The data were collected from 355 frontline service employees in Chinese hotels using a two-wave survey. SPSS macro PROCESS Model 58 was used to test the proposed hypotheses.
Findings
AI awareness increases frontline service employees’ silence by prompting psychological contract breach. This process is moderated by frontline service employees’ moral identity. Specifically, moral identity mitigates the effect of psychological contract breach on silence.
Practical implications
Organizations and managers should pay attention to the impact of AI on frontline service employees and take measures to help them better adapt to the rapidly changing work environment. In particular, it helps reduce frontline service employees’ silence by fostering positive attitudes toward AI, maintaining their psychological contracts and developing their moral identities.
Originality/value
This study enriches the research on the outcomes of AI awareness by directing our attention to frontline service employees’ silence. Moreover, this study not only explores the responses to AI awareness that frontline service employees make as “economic persons” but also examine whether they, as “moral persons,” regulate their responses contingent on their moral identity under the impact of AI. Exploring frontline service employees’ dual identities helps bring this research closer to the realities of managerial practice, thereby contributing to a better understanding and management of their complex responses to AI shocks.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to minimize the warpage issue in memory-computing integrated chiplets with 2.5D packaging on a large-scale wafer subjected to multistress through synergistic optimization of key structure paraeters.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, memory-computing integrated chiplet-based 2.5D packaging was designed and the warpage optimization under electro-thermal-vibration coupling was conducted with finite element analysis simulation. Compared studies were also conducted with the imposing condition of single electrical and thermal stress.
Findings
The research results indicated that electrical and thermal stress had a significant impact on the packaging warpage while that of vibration on warpage was minimal. For structure parameters, the chiplet thickness had a significant effect on the warpage of the model, while the influence of chiplet size was relatively small. When the chiplet thickness decreased to 100 µm, the warpage was reduced by 8.96%. Under thermal stress loading, the impact of packaging density on the overall warpage of the chiplet-based 2.5D packaging model is relatively small. However, under the loading of electrical stress or electro-thermal coupling, the packaging density has a severe impact on warpage, with the maximum approaching 1.3011 µm for just one chiplet. Compared with vibration alone, electro-thermal-vibration coupling slightly increased the warpage, which is primarily evident in the exacerbation of warpage in stacked chiplets and edge locations. Lower packaging density with 150 µm chiplet thickness contributed to a minimal warpage in stacked chiplet, the edge locations of which exhibited a relatively severe warpage.
Research limitations/implications
The research provides a theoretical basis for warpage optimization of memory-computing integrated chiplets with 2.5D packaging subjected to multistress coupling.
Practical implications
When designing the layout of chips for large-sized high-reliability silicon substrates, this method can be used to control the most severely warped areas at the edges, thus making it easier to optimize warpage.
Originality/value
With the approaching of physical limits dictated by Moore’s Law, advanced packaging technologies, primarily centered around 2.5D packaging and three-dimensional packaging, were attached importance to. It can integrated multifunctional chips, which have become increasingly complex, leading to greater difficulty in design and implementation, and an obvious increase in overall manufacturing costs. In this context, chiplets offered a viable approach for future chip designs. With the high demand for high-performance computing, memory-computing integrated chiplets were designed. The warpage of 2.5D packaging by altering structural parameters under multiphysical field coupling conditions was studied to provide a theoretical basis for warpage optimization of memory-computing integrated chiplets with 2.5D packaging.

Purpose
Building on current debates on innovation, knowledge diffusion, and institutional dynamics, we explore the influence of national innovation systems (NISs) on international innovation collaborations in Latin America, focusing on intellectual property rights (IPR), access to scientific knowledge and regulatory quality.
Design/methodology/approach
We analyze data from 17 Latin American countries from 2002–2015 using time-series panel analysis to evaluate how different NIS elements affect regional cooperation for innovation.
Findings
Regulatory quality can improve international collaboration by compensating for weaker IPR and scientific knowledge bases. Interestingly, while both IPR and scientific knowledge inherently promote cooperation, stronger regulatory environments may diminish the effectiveness of IPR protections, suggesting a potential substitution effect.
Practical implications
The study offers actionable insights for policymakers in developing regions to help them craft more effective policies for collaboration in innovation that consider the balancing act between regulatory quality and other NIS elements.
Originality/value
This research shifts focus from the conventional analysis of how developing countries attract collaboration from developed nations to how they can foster innovation among themselves, providing a unique perspective on the interaction between institutional factors and innovation capabilities within the Latin American context.

Purpose
This study investigates the significance of trade credit (TC) as an alternative source of funding in financing the growth of financially dependent firms.
Design/methodology/approach
Panel data analysis using the difference generalized method of moments (GMM) and fixed-effects ordinary least squares (FE-OLS) is conducted on annual data from publicly listed firms across a number of developing economies. The data cover the period from 2003 to 2019.
Findings
The findings indicate that financially dependent firms rely on TC to manage their growth, especially when they have exhausted their debt capacity. This dependence on TC displays a cyclical pattern. As firms enhance their financial position, they tend to scale back their dependence. Nevertheless, firms with significant growth opportunities continue utilizing TC for at least two years after their initial identification as financially dependent.
Practical implications
The author's conclusion highlights that TC can be a valuable and accessible source of funding, especially in developing economies where the real sector may require alternative financing channels. Hence, TC has the potential to play a very significant role in financing corporate growth in these economies.
Originality/value
The current study adds to the existing body of literature by revealing that access to alternative sources of finance is also critical for firms that are dependent on external sources and for firms that have exhausted their financial debt capacity.

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of moral intensity on the ethical decision-making process of professional accountants based on a combined importance-performance map analysis (cIPMA).
Design/methodology/approach
Using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) on data from 309 accountants, the study examined the relationships between four moral intensity dimensions: magnitude of consequences, social consensus, probability of effect and concentration of effect, and the ethical decision-making process. The study also methodologically complemented by a combined importance-performance map analysis and necessary condition analysis.
Findings
The findings reveal that moral recognition and moral judgment are necessary conditions for predicting accountants’ moral intent. However, in terms of importance and performance, moral recognition plays a less significant role compared to moral judgment. Furthermore, the influence of moral intensity dimensions is pronounced on moral recognition, while their influence on moral judgment and moral intent is more context dependent. This is also exhibited in the combined importance-performance map analysis results.
Research limitations/implications
The study highlights the importance of considering specific ethical dilemmas and the differential influence of moral intensity when developing strategies to strengthen ethical decision-making in the accounting profession. Future research is encouraged to explore how cultural backgrounds and diverse settings influence accountants’ ethical decision-making with tailored measurement tools for a more comprehensive understanding.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the study is among the first to complement the results of PLS-SEM with importance-performance map analysis and necessary condition analysis to examine the relationship between moral intensity and ethical decision-making of accountants.

Abstract
Purpose
This study identifies and ranks the barriers to manufacturing integrated circuit (IC) chips in the Indian semiconductor manufacturing industry by examining the causal relationships between the different barriers using an advanced causal modeling technique named the grey influence analysis (GINA). Moreover, IC plays a crucial function in reducing the size, boosting the speed and improving the dependability of electronic devices. The widespread use of these technologies has led to advancements in sectors such as communications, healthcare, transportation and entertainment.
Design/methodology/approach
This study investigates 12 factors related to the barriers to manufacturing IC chips. In addition, experts from an Indian semiconductor manufacturing organization have validated the presence of these barriers. In addition, the research employs a novel GINA to investigate and comprehend the influence relationships between these barriers.
Findings
To successfully manufacture IC chips in India, the “Government Policies and Regulations (B11),” “Lack of Semiconductor Fabrication Facilities (B1)” and “Dependence on Imported Raw Materials and Components (B2),” were the critical barriers that must be addressed and overcome, as per the GINA result.
Practical implications
The author highlighted that a lack of fabrication plants could lead to limited production of the semiconductor chips and that a lack of local fabs can hinder the development of advanced technologies. The complex policy can significantly affect the set-up of new semiconductor fabs, hamper the overall growth of the semiconductor market and divert away foreign investors. This further creates restrictions on employment creation and undermines the economy.
Originality/value
Although semiconductor applications have several benefits, more research is needed to identify the barriers to manufacturing IC chips in India, making this study unique. In addition, the advanced GINA method is also used to examine the critical barriers and their interconnection based on an expert response-based study from an Indian semiconductor organization.
