Recharging
I'm off for the weekend – taking a couple of days and flying down to Nice in the south of France. I find that such relatively short breaks are very efficient at recharging my batteries – and I don't get a week's e-mail waiting for me when I return. I think the concept of the sabbatical or the career break could perhaps be constructed in terms of a number of quite short breaks rather than a single, long one to offer people a chance to do something else while not losing touch with their main job.
