Article Type: Editorial From: Team Performance Management, Volume 19, Issue 1/2

I would like to begin the year by thanking the Editorial Advisory Board members for their continued support and input to the journal. I would also like to thank the reviewers who provided high quality and timely reviews to authors in 2012. They are named below. If you are interested in reviewing for the journal in future, please do let me know.

In 2012, we published 24 articles, with authors from: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Norway, Sweden, Turkey, the UK and USA. We also published two special issues on: “Leadership in projects: what we know from the literature and new insights”, edited by Dr Nicholas Clarke of the University of Southampton, UK; and “Organizations in the new millennium – challenges and opportunities,” edited by Dr Vidhi Agrawal of the Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, India.

We would like to extend our congratulations to Sabine Boerner, Marius Linkohr and Sabine Kiefer of the University of Konstanz in Germany for winning the 2012 Team Performance Management Outstanding Paper Award. Their paper is: “Top management team diversity: positive in the short run, but negative in the long run?, Vol. 17 No. 7/8, pp. 328-53. The Highly Commended Awards for 2012 went to the following papers: Wells, J.E. and Peachey, J.W., “Turnover intentions: do leadership behaviors and satisfaction with the leader matter?”, Vol. 17 No. 1/2, pp. 23-40; Gressgard, L.J. “Virtual team collaboration and innovation in organizations”, Vol. 17 No. 1/2, pp. 102-19 and Ekmekci, O. and Casey, A. “Computer simulation exploring organizational identification for contingent workers”, Vol. 17 No. 5/6, pp. 279-98. And finally, congratulations to Valerie I. Sessa of Montclair State University, New Jersey, USA for winning the 2012 Outstanding Reviewer Award.

In this year’s volume, we will have two special issues: “Team performance in collaborative and partnered supply chains”, edited by Dr Christos Braziotis of the University of Nottingham, UK; and a special issue of papers from the 2012 International Workshop on Teamworking (IWOT), edited by Monica Rolfsen of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, where the conference was hosted.

If you have any proposals for future special issues, please send me your ideas for consideration.
