Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Group
The Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Group (PRIP) is part of the Institute of Computer Graphics and Algorithms at the Vienna University of Technology.
PRIP’s easy-to-navigate web site gives an overview of its research activities on image pyramids and structure and topology. A total of 13 current and completed projects each have their own web sites with comprehensive information, including videos and publications.
The site also contains links on its people; teaching; eight different services, one including web links to business contacts and sponsors, and links to computer vision resources; and events.
Seidenader Vision, Inc
This is the corporate web site for the Seidenader Group, headquartered in Germany. Seidenader’s homepage features links to its three subsidiaries: inspection machines (for the pharmaceutical industry), vision, and automation.
Seidenader’s Vision site provides detailed information on its industrial machine vision systems used in optical quality control, and includes links on its: Product Line of Track&Trace Solutions, OCR/OCV & code inspection, closure inspection, empty glass inspection, laser coding and identification, and verification of laser codes; applications in the automotive, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries; service/training; customer support; news which lists exhibitions, events, and Seidenader’s newsletter; customer references; and press releases.
Perception
http://perception.inrialpes.fr/
Perception is a research team associated with INRIA Grenoble Rhone-Alpes, whose objective is to map images and videos onto 3D visual representations.
Perception’s inclusive homepage displays a general description, with images, of its topics: recent publications, affiliations, news, seminars, and job offers. More detail is provided on their correlating, state-of-the art webpages.
Research topics consist of: camera models and calibration, 3D-shape modeling, motion representation and estimation; recognition of objects, gestures, and actions; and computation modeling of biological vision. There are also demo videos, details of the software, and public databases.
Euresys
Euresys is a privately held European-based company that offers high-performance products and services for image acquisition and vision-oriented analysis.
Euresys’ web site highlights its: products, including a product search key, of Euresys’ machine vision software tools, frame grabbers, and interfacing cameras; two main customer services of support and consulting; company and careers; news and events; where to buy products; links to camera manufacturers, as well as professional associations.
There is also comprehensive information, including downloads and evaluations, available on Euresys’ image analysis tool, Open eVision.
Computer Vision Laboratory at Columbia University
The Computer Vision Laboratory (CAVE) at Columbia University is dedicated to the development of advanced vision systems in the three areas of: the creation of vision sensors, the design of physics-based models for vision, and the development of algorithms for scene interpretation.
CAVE’s comprehensive web site contains information on its: projects, which includes computational cameras, physics-based vision, representation and recognition, and graphics and displays; publications, searchable by all or just one of the four research areas; software and databases which provide access information to 22 databases and software; people; and links to the lab’s affiliations, resources, and sponsors.
