US Digital is proud to announce the release of three new inclinometers: the T4, T5 and T6

The T4, T5 and T6 incremental inclinometers are single axis, digital tilt sensors used to report the angle of an object with respect to gravity. Optical shaft encoder technology provides unlimited range and virtually eliminates linearity errors. A weight placed on one side of a wheel assembly causes it to follow the source of gravity. Internal magnetic damping assures fast response time while minimizing oscillations and ringing. As the housing moves relative to the codewheel, the moving image of radial lines is converted to real-time TTL outputs.
Each inclinometer utilizes an unbreakable mylar disk, LED light source, metal shaft and high quality ball bearings. All of them operate from a single +5 VDC supply. They convert real-time shaft angle, speed, and direction into TTL-compatible quadrature outputs.
The T4 inclinometer is our low cost solution without index while the T5 and T6 inclinometers are our standard and high resolution tilt sensors offering the broadest range of resolutions with or without index. The T5 and T6 both offer a differential version that includes an internal differential line driver (26C31) that can source and sink 20mA at TTL levels (Plate 11).
