eVision 5.3 contains a brand new tool: EasyBGA. This new library allows you to quickly and easily inspect BGA components (see Plate 6).

EasyBGA is a C++ library containing a set of tools that are effortlessly integrated into any application.

With a simple model definition editor and a precise calibration process (including pixel size, aspect ratio, camera rotation and distortion compensation), EasyBGA achieves a high level of defect detection and provides a complete statistical analysis of the inspected BGA.

EasyBGA provides missing and extra ball detection as well as ball position, pitch, diameter and circularity measurement. It is able to measure more than 10,000 balls per second!

eVision 5.3 also brings significant improvements in our other image analysis tools. EasyColor now supports Bayer Pattern images. EasyObject (eVision's blob analysis tool) performance has been increased, EasyMatch (industrial pattern matching) provides enhanced methods to precisely locate objects in the image, while EasyOCR (optical character recognition) offers new character recognition techniques.
