Spectroscopic Methods in Bioinorganic Chemistry covers a range of topics that would be primarily of interest to researchers in bioinorganic, physical-inorganic, inorganic and biochemistry.

The first two sections of the book discuss recent advances in ground-state and excited-state methods, highlighting new directions of research into bioinorganic spectroscopy. These sections are suitable for a wider range of readers and include papers on "Combining MÎssbauer Spectroscopy and Magnetometry", "Recent Advances in Electronic Absorption Spectroscopy" and "Soft X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy: Applications to Bioinorganic Chemistry".

Subsequent sections of this book address four areas of bioinorganic chemistry where spectroscopy has had a large impact. These are electron transfer, cluster interactions, active site geometric and electronic structures and intermediates. Overall this book is exceptionally well written and clearly presents a range of new research areas in bioinorganic chemistry.
