French vendor PILGRIM SA has launched the PILGRIM 133, its new touchscreen portable PC, dedicated to outdoor application and standing position use. A cordless workstation, the Pilgrim 133 is unlike any other similar product as it can run any kind of software without it having to be adapted in any way (see Plate 6).

The PILGRIM 133 is based on the PilkitĀ® technology, a key feature of the PILGRIM range, which enables end-users to operate applications through "touchscreen technology". For entry of text, users can generate an on-screen keyboard and use either their finger or a screen pen.

Robust and ergonomic, PILGRIM 133 fits neatly under the arm. Compact, with a large display and a high resolution, it offers a real comfort and a good readability for end-users. Its smart battery provides exceptional operating autonomy. The PILGRIM 133 is fast and powerful, with a high data exchange capacity. It has a Pentium 133 processor, 32 MB Ram, and is a fully compatible communications tool which runs under all operating systems.

The PILGRIM 133 is ideal for industries that need to use IT on the go: doctors and nurses can instantly update patient records bed by bed, engineers can download any technical document from any part of an assembly line, and it has many other uses in manufacturing, defence, and transport. In all cases, it brings extra-time, extra-reliability and improves corporate productivity.

PILGRIM SA is looking for distributors in the UK and also in Ireland.
