Fisher-Rosemount is now the exclusive vendor of poineering Annubar averaging pitot tube technology, which works on the differential pressure principle.

The Annubar averaging pitot tube is available in many different options, including Insertion and Hot Tap models. These products have distinct advantages such as low cost installation and negligible permanent pressure loss. The unique shape of the Diamond II Annubar ensures a fixed flow separation point, resulting in a constant flow coefficient, at varying flow rates. Therefore, the flow element has a higher accuracy over a wider flow range than other competitive round sensors.

ProBar combines the Annubar with the industry standard Series 3051 DP transmitter to provide a volumetric flow meter. The Mass ProBar combines the Annubar with the Series 3095 Multivariable transmitter to provide a fully compensated mass flow meter (see Plate 6).

Since Fisher-Rosemount acquired the Dieterich Standard company (who invented and perfected Annubar technology) in 1996, many large businesses have incorporated these devices into their process. Due to this success, the range is being used for an increasing number of installations, with Fisher-Rosemount as the sole supplier.
