Micron technology opts for mintech semiconductors
Keywords: Micron technology, Semiconductors
Mintech Semiconductors are pleased to have been chosen as the only European supplier of wafer and die products for Micron Technology.
A leading worldwide provider of memory solutions, Micron was founded in 1978 and currently has approximately 18,000 employees throughout the organisation and subsidiaries. Mintech, along with Die Technology has the largest franchised listing in Europe including market leaders such as National Semiconductors, International Rectifier and Analog Devices to name but a few. We believe by adding Micron Technology to our existing portfolio, it will further enhance our range, enabling us to offer a total solution.
Micron offers memory semiconductors in multiple technologies, generations, configurations and packages to meet the diverse needs of customer requirements. These devices target networking and communications as well as wireless applications. In the DRAM area, Micron are currently producing fast page mode (FPM) DRAM, extended data out (EDO) DRAM, SDRAM and double data rate (DDR) SDRAM. The Flash memory product portfolio encompasses several architectures including, standard boot block and wireless as well as Flash/SRAM combo's.
Due to the growth in small form factor solutions, bare die, as the smallest form is perfect and is currently being used in MP3 players, Digital TV, Hybrid MCMs and embedded DSPs and many more applications as it benefits designers who wish to make the most out of their boards.
