News from the Edulib project, based at the University of Hull, is that they will be continuing their work in supporting teaching and learning developments for information professionals for another year, until August 1999. The established Edulib teaching materials, which have been used in their workshop sessions, are being made available for all UK higher education institutions. In addition, the Edulib team will continue to run short courses covering elements of the full series of workshops for information staff who have missed out in the past. If resources permit, they will also be prepared to deliver courses specifically for individual institutions. More detailed information is available on the Web site http://hull.ac.uk/edulib/ or from Edulib@hull.ac.uk

For those of us who want to stay on top of the latest developments in teaching and learning, the Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development (OCSLD) are offering a course on 21 January 1999 in London on "Librarians, lecturers and effective learning". The session will be led by Linda Williams and Roger Downing. For further details, E-mail: ocsld@brookes.ac.uk or go to the Web site http://www.brookes.ac.uk/services/ocsld/
