Special double issue: Heinz von Foerster in memorium – Part II

Guest Editor: Monika Broecker

We are most grateful to Monika Broecker for accepting our invitation to be the guest editor of Part II of the issues of this journal published in tribute to Heinz von Foerster.

Part I has already been included in our 2005 Volume 34 (Nos 1/2) with Alexander Riegler as its guest editor. Both parts have been most carefully compiled after extensive discussions with the invited contributors, whose papers have been reviewed to the high standards of this journal.

Monika Broecker has worked with Heinz von Foerster and jointly published with him. In consequence she provides a unique insight to his endeavours and has encouraged our contributors to write about him in such a knowledgeable and inspirational manner.

We would like to thank all those who have assisted in the publishing of these special issues compiled as a celebration of the accomplishments of Heinz von Foerster in his lifetime, and of the immense contribution he has made to systems and cybernetics.
