The publishers of the Journal of Risk Finance wish to retract the article “Measuring risk and financial support for NPPs using Monte Carlo simulation” by Hosien Piranfar and Omar Masood which was published in Volume 13, Issue 2, 2012. It has come to our attention that a large proportion of this article is copied, without attribution, from an earlier article authored by Mohamed Ben Abdelhamid and Chaker Aloui entitled “The guarantee option against the construction cost overruns of nuclear power plant: Monte Carlo simulation approach”, which was published in the International Journal of Business Continuity and Risk Management, Volume 1, Issue 3, 2010. The Journal of Risk Finance submission guidelines make it clear that articles must be original and must not infringe any existing copyright. The publishers of the journal sincerely apologize to both the readers and the original authors.
