Handling small bags easier with new SAS automation FBG-22 bag gripper

Article Type: New products From: Industrial Robot: An International Journal, Volume 40, Issue 3

With stainless steel fingers the lightweight FBG-22 carefully grips woven cloth, plastic or paper bags containing heavy products such as dog food, plastic resins, grain or powdered chemicals (Figure 3). The stainless fingers combine strength and the ability to withstand harsh environments. A decker mechanism is designed into the gripper to accurately drop the bag when correctly positioned over the pallet for tight packing.

The FBG-22 can be manually adjusted to handle bag widths from 290 to 450 mm. The gripper can lift bags up to 22 kg (Figure 4). As an option, the gripper can handle slip sheets as well. For more information please visit: www.sas-automation.com
