The American Welding Society (AWS) is a non-profit organization with a goal to advance the science, technology and application of welding and related joining disciplines. This is a large professional site containing, as you would expect, information about all aspects of welding. There are many articles available to read about all aspects of welding, I found quite a few which will be of interest to Industrial Robot by using the search facility, these are from their Welding Journal.
Details about conferences and exhibitions are also listed; from here you can go to the forum which discussions and notices can be found about welding including training, for sale, equipment wanted, certification and qualifications, technical, etc. Some areas are only available to view if you sign up but it's free to register.
This site will be of interest to Industrial Robot readers in or doing business with America.

This portal is all about robots/robotics, this link will take you directly to the robotic welding section where a nice little introduction and links to some references can be found. Their site contains both commercial and non- commercial information on robotic technology. It might be worth looking as a nice introduction to welding robots.
M&T Welding Systems offer a full automation service based in the UK, their products are designed to offer cost effective solutions to replace the cost of skilled personnel doing repetitive work. Their range includes complete robot systems, automatic dedicated welding machines, manipulators, endchangers, horizontal and vertical welding lathes, friction welders, spot welding machines, projection welding and component handling automation.
Their site details their services, which includes all aspects of welding equipment including supplying robotic welding equipment.
