UN Global Compact, UN Environment Programme, Oxfam and the World Resources Institute.
UNEP, UN Global Compact, Oxfam and the World Resources Institute have produced this report. “Adapting for a Green Economy” is based on the results of a qualitative survey of business leaders who support the Caring for Climate initiative, a joint United Nations Global Compact-UNEP platform involving more than 400 businesses committed to advancing climate action.
This report aims to act as a resource for small, medium and large companies, providing the business case for private sector adaptation to climate change in ways that build the resilience of vulnerable communities in developing countries. It offers a number of practical steps that companies can take to embed climate change adaptation and resilience in their operations, and also provides guidance for policymakers who want to catalyse private sector provision of goods and services that support climate change adaptation.
