The Lifeline Hospital Group, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UAE, has been awarded the prestigious Daman Award for providing the best healthcare quality services.

H.E. Dr Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman, Health Authority Abu Dhabi presented “Daman Healthcare Quality Award” to Dr Shamsheer VP, Managing Director, Lifeline Hospital Group, during the conference held at the Rotana Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

The Award was given to Lifeline Hospital for its active participation and contribution in improving the healthcare quality standards and taking it to another level. It was based on a patient’s view of healthcare services survey which was supervised by the Daman’s Network Department.

Daman’s analysis showed that the hospital scored the highest results in terms of service quality standards, patients’ satisfaction, perceived skills in management and medical quality assurance. Commenting on the Award, Dr Shamsheer said that it was a honour that Lifeline Hospital has been chosen to be bestowed with this prestigious award.

He added that the Lifeline Hospital has now more responsibility on hand to fulfil by providing the best quality in medical healthcare and by fulfilling its social obligations. Dr Shamsheer re-iterated that the management of Lifeline Hospital will keep up the good work by providing quality healthcare services and become the premier healthcare provider in the UAE.

The Lifeline Hospital Group has also won accolades from the Ministry of Health (MoH), UAE for its Public Service Campaigns and for its contribution in spreading healthcare awareness amongst the public. The Ministry appreciated the hospital for the different public service campaigns it undertook to fight against breast cancer, diabetes and HIV.

The Lifeline Hospital is set for more expansion in the near future. The group has planned to open a large health centre with day surgery in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, followed by a hospital and health centre.

A tertiary care hospital is in the planning stage for 2009. The Lifeline Hospital is the first hospital in the UAE to receive The Australia Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHSI) Certificate for its adherence to healthcare standards and regulations.
