Graduate jobseekers are being encouraged to make the Internet their first port of call when choosing their next step after university.
A new Website called Student World ( http://www.student-world.co.uk ) lists detailed information on full- and part-time jobs as part of a complete information service for all those in higher education.
Student World claims to be the most comprehensive site of its kind, offering information relevant to all stages of student life. Its contents range from choosing the right university to getting your first job, with everything in-between.
For jobseekers in particular, the site offers the chance to place CVs online and keep up to date with the latest job vacancies both in the UK and abroad.
Ted York, one of the creators of the site, comments: "The idea behind Student World is to provide an independent service that can help students, graduates and academic staff at all levels of further or higher education with sound, objective information and advice. It provides a complete picture of student life and opportunities at the end of the twentieth century.
"For graduates in particular, the site is an invaluable reference point. Choosing the right career path at the end of a degree course can affect the rest of their lives so having as much information to hand as possible is crucial."
