According to a study by industry analyst group, IDC, 750,000 Java technology programmers will be needed by the year 2000. With sights set on making training for the Java programming language more accessible, Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Spring IT Training, have announced spring as the first authorised Java Centre for Training in the UK. Under the agreement, Spring IT Training will offer Sun Educational Services' Java technology courses at its London, Leeds and Birmingham locations.
Each of the Spring IT training centres will offer four Java technology courses from Sun Educational Services' certification curriculum:

Programming for Beginners Using Java Technology;
- •
Java Programming;
- •
Web Publishing Design and Creation; and
- •
Web Publishing with Java.
