Inova Knowledge Management (IKM) has signed a partnership agreement with computer-based training (CBT) specialists, Pathlore Software, which will allow IKM to use Web-based systems to deliver knowledge management and management development services to their clients.
"Increasingly, companies are becoming aware of the ways in which technology can be harnessed, cost-effectively, to train their employees in business solutions", commented IKM director, David Clark. "In particular, those solutions include providing information and support for the business through knowledge management and management development materials".
Under the partnership agreement, IKM is using Pathlore's Web-based CBT authoring tool, PHOENIX for Windows, to design and build materials which can be delivered over a corporate network such as an intranet.
According to David Clark: "We came across PHOENIX a while ago, when we were looking for a CBT authoring tool to complement the activities of our IT training arm, Inova Training Consultants. Now, as demand is growing for knowledge management solutions delivered and managed via network technology, we believe that PHOENIX is ideally placed to help us meet that demand and achieve the results our clients require".
Pathlore's Peter Sparks, commented: "Under the partnership agreement, we will be providing Inova with a range of services to meet the needs of each individual project. We have been impressed with Inova's commitment to tailor a solution to a particular client's business needs, rather than try to fit those needs to a particular, off-the-shelf solution".
