Conference CIB W70 Conference in Facilities Management

1618 June 2008, Heriot Watt, Edinburgh, Scotland, Web site: www.fmresearch.co.uk

The CIB W70 conference in Facilities Management is a biennial international event that engages academics and practitioners in debate, discussion and the examination of new ideas. The event extends over three days in June. With over 100 speakers from more than 20 different countries it is unique in the FM calendar.

The CIB is the world’s foremost platform for international cooperation and information exchange in the area of building and construction research and innovation. The so called “working party” W70 in Facilities Management and Maintenance promotes the management of the built environment as a holistic process, grounded on the understanding that built facilities, as a sustainable business resource, must be managed in alignment with business operational needs in an increasingly dynamic world.

CIB W70 has a history extending well over 20 years and has recently been held in Trondheim, Brisbane and Hong Kong this year it is the turn of the UK to host the event. Full details can be found on the conference web site (www.fmresearch.co.uk).
