Helena Moussatche is a Brazilian registered architect and interior designer with a Master and PhD degrees in Education. She has worked for 20 years as an architect and interior designer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and also worked for two years as a facilities planner in San Diego, California. For the past five years she has been an Assitant Professor at the Department of Interior Design and an affiliated researcher at the Center for Construction and Environment, University of Florida. Her research focus is on Interior Materials and Environmental Sustainability.
Dr Jennifer Languell is co-founder and Vice President of ConstructGreen, a professional services company offering consulting and ancillary services that focus on helping the real estate, design and construction industries realize the benefits of sustainability. Dr Languell holds a Bachelors of Science in Materials Science and Engineering, a Masters in Engineering in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering, specializing in Sustainable Construction. She specializes in the implementation of sustainable construction techniques, programs and materials in the construction industry. She has developed a guide for green residential construction in Florida, co-authored the life cycle cost guidelines for materials and building systems for Florida's public education facilities, and published numerous articles on green building and life cycle costing. She has been faculty and invited to speak at several domestic and international green building conferences. She has lead teams in the creation of implementation plans for sustainable programs such as advanced construction waste management, working with USGBC LEED standards, and the Florida Green Building Coalitions Green Home Designation Standard. She currently holds appointments with the University of Florida, M.E. Rinker Sr School of Building Construction Center for Construction and Environment, and the International College BSM program.
