Electrical Industry Conference

The electrical industry's largest conference already has over 800 reservations. A number of keynote presentations given by leading industry figures will examine issues concerning the development and integrity of the electrical industry. The conference will build upon the success of recent conferences which have identified and made recommendations that continue to influence the direction of the electrical industry in the UK.

Electromagnetic Environments and Health in Buildings Conference

The affects of electromagnetic radiation fields are of great intereat at present because of the Increasingly large number of people using VDUs and mobile phones. This is a potentially emotive area but everyone is agreed that there needs to be more research and dissemination of knowledge.
Abacus Communications, in conjunction with the University of Reading and the University of Bristol, is organising a two-day conference entitled: "Electromagnetic Environments and Health in Buildings". The conference will consider the effects of electromagnetic radiation on health, current legal and insurance implications and will address emissions, standards and future developments.
Conference Chairman, Professor Derek Clements-Croome, of the University of Reading, is a leading authority in workplace health and links between employee wellbeing and productivity. He will be joined by principal international researchers from universities, hospitals and mobile phone companies, as well as presenters from the legal and insurance professions to ensure wide-ranging viewpoints.
