Abstract

The Elastomat 1.024 Wells‐Krautkramer announce their new Elastomat 1.024 which will measure and record the modulus of elasticity E, the modulus of torsion G, and the damping decrement d of any materials that can be excited to vibrate mechanically by piezo‐electric or electro‐magnetic methods. These materials include metals, ceramics, plastics, glass, timber and concrete, and the relation between the natural frequency and the modulus of electricity and torsion is established for rectangular, square, cylindrical and tubular cross sections. For E modules changes dependent on temperature, time etc., any shape of test piece can be accommodated.
