Technology Transfer — An International Two‐way Street
Abstract
Britain produces about six per cent of the world's technology, but is one of the few net exporters of licensed technology. R&D spend in the UK is smaller than its main competitors, and more R&D is financed by government. The UK must continue to license aggressively overseas and “license‐in” technology in order to maintain its position. The British Technology Group operates effectively in technology transfer.
