Computerising Small to Medium‐size Companies Today
Abstract
Today's computer jungle is a direct victim of the curious and inexplicable need to preserve the mystique of any business operation by shrouding it in a wealth of abbreviations, technical jargon and modern‐day idiom to such an extent that all but the initiated shy away in horror. The computer industry is undoubtedly the villain. On the surface it has become wrapped up in its own self‐importance and become increasingly complex to the point where many business managers have been prevented from crossing the bridge into what could be a beneficial new discipline.
