Abstract

At the Royal Navy Equipment Exhibition, Portsmouth, 7–11 September. Ferranti Ltd, manufacturers of computer‐based naval action information and weapon control systems, are displaying a working pre‐production model of the WSA (Weapon System Automation) 423 fire control and action information system for ships from fast strike craft up to frigate and destroyer size, as well as computer‐based tactical trainers and simulators; submarine depth and course control systems; naval airborne radar systems; electro‐optical systems; armament fuzing devices and a sophisticated airborne altitude and computing system.
