Abstract

In the dynamic area of production it is vitally important to control, rather than simply react to, change. This requires immediate access to accurate, up‐to‐date information which is impossible wiithout making use of computerised techniques. At last management is beginning to realise this and the data processing industry has responded with a variety of products to help management.
