The hidden rules

Abstract
MANY YEARS AGO, an executive called Addis was wrongfully dismissed by the Gramophone Company. He sued, claiming damages. He maintained that he was entitled not only to the remuneration which he would have received, had he been given his proper notice, but also money to compensate him because as a result of the wrongful dismissal he had lost status and was in fact permanently out of work.
