Abstract

From time to time, you may find that you need to call a batch file from within another batch file. [See p. 5 this issue.] If you've tried this in the past, you've found that DOS will run your secondary batch file, but there's a catch. After running the secondary batch file, DOS simply stops processing and returns to the DOS prompt. That's OK if running the secondary batch file is the last thing your main file does, since processing would have terminated anyway. But what if you want to run the secondary batch file from somewhere in the middle of your main file, then return to the main file for more batch commands?
