Abstract

Every now and then, a brand new kind of peripheral device arrives on the microcomputer scene. One such product is the Cauzin Softstrip Reader, a product of Cauzin Systems, Inc. (835 S. Main St., Waterbury, CT 06706. Phone: 1–800–533–7323; in CT: 203–573–0150). The Softstrip Reader (available for about a year now), with its associated software, allows your microcomputer to read in text or binary data that has been encoded and printed on paper in a special barcode‐like format—the Softstrip. But this is not just another barcode reader—it has much greater data capacity, and is easier to use and more reliable too.
