ATTITUDES IN PROMOTING AND USING EXTERNAL SDI SERVICES
Abstract
Many scientists have routine information‐seeking habits, which probably have not been subjected to the scientific scrutiny which they devote to their own subject. Neither they, nor in the case of industry, the management, have assessed the value of timely, relevant, scientific information. On the whole they do not want information, although they need it. There are, of course, notable exceptions to this generalization.
