Abstract

In the wake of UMI's dramatic announcements reported in our previous issue, The Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) has revealed plans of its own for an ‘Electronic Library’. In this case, it is only a prototype which may not lead to a commercial launch — but with the full text and images of 1350 scientific journals in prospect, it is certainly ambitious.
