‘Serseal’ — Development in FUME PREVENTION
Abstract
Many chemical treatments for metals give rise to the evolution of steam and spray which cause a serious loss of chemicals and heat, damage to neighbouring steelwork, condensation problems and bad working conditions. Sometimes a tolerable working atmosphere can only be obtained by the use of exhaust ducts and fans which are expensive to install and often troublesome to maintain in good order. The following exclusive article describes a new process for the elimination of these fumes.
