Oracle Libraries — Multimedia and Windows OPAC

Abstract

While the technology is available to provide access to multimedia information systems the necessary applications software lags behind. The article discusses the features and potential of search systems which make the intuitive link between imprecise search criteria and the available information in whatever format.
