The turnkey systems marketplace: ten years on
24
Abstract
It is now some ten years since the first of the turnkey library systems was installed in the UK; this was the Geac system at the University of Hull. It seems appropriate, to coincide with the publication of the second edition of the directory ‘Library Systems: a Buyer's Guide’(see Publications), to review the market‐place for turnkey systems; this was last done in VINE 66 (July 1987), and the following article will concentrate on the main changes which have taken place since.
