Abstract

When NYNEX‐led group needed financing to build a 17,000‐mile undersea fiber optic phone link between Europe and the Far East, it turned to CIBC Wood Gundy, the capital markets and trading arm of Canada's second biggest bank, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
