Entrepreneurship in a Mature Industry: AFG's Integrated Approach

Abstract

Over the past few years, there has been widespread adoption among leading business authors of the entrepreneurial “solution” to today's long‐terms strategic planning issues. While entrepreneurship is a key ingredient in the strategic process, it cannot ensure long‐term success if practiced in isolation. AFG Industries believes the strategic challenge is much broader, requiring a company to integrate its entrepreneurial management approach with its overall corporate objectives, the execution of its strategic plan, and its management selection and development process.
