Abstract

Good evening, and thank you for coming. As you see we now have the short list for the Leisure Service Industries Chief. The remuneration package we put together seems to have drawn some cream, and not just the usual dross of long‐serving deputies. However it is nonetheless important, when spending that amount of money, to be sure we make just the right appointment. If you add in our superannuation and National Insurance, overheads like the essential car user allowance, that's £45,000 of any poll tax payer's money.
