Who's who?

Abstract

WHO IS in Who's who—and why? For every reader who replaces this considerable fistful on the shelves with a satisfied air, there are a dozen or so who look disappointed or downright disbelieving. How could their old Headmaster, or the faith‐healer Aunt Edith swears by, or that really famous chap we shared a taxi with, or the woman who writes those terribly amusing books, be overlooked?
