EDM — the key to total traceability

Abstract

The planning, design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of systems inside the aircraft and aerospace industries can generate literally millions of documents ranging from drawings and associated information, to memos, notes, and informal records on a variety of media, both electronic and traditional. This article explains how the Cimage Document Management System not only shortcuts the retrieval time to access the huge amount of information but applies stringent control over the authorization of changes and security of access.
