Abstract
TWO Matsuura MC 500 V twin‐spindle machining centres supplied by Elgar PMT Machine Tools Ltd, a member of the Elliott Industries Marketing Ltd group of companies, are providing the main means of production of small servo valve bodies at the Wolverhampton factory of Dowty Boulton Ltd. Compared with previous production methods they have cut machining time by 50% per component because of the twin‐spindle configuration which allows two components to be produced per cycle.
