Cossor Uses Fibre‐Optic Links Between Control Computer and Factory Machining Centres

Abstract

A flexible manufacturing system which uses fibre‐optic links between a supervisory Prime minicomputer and factory‐floor workcentres has been installed by Cossor at its plant at Harlow, Essex.
